Une personne au SMIC cotise environ 500 € par mois pour le système de retraite par répartition actuel (part salariale + part patronale), Pour ouvrir des droits à la retraite, il faut 43 années de cotisations actuellement. Cette même personne au SMIC percevra alors approximativement 950 € de retraite par mois. Ces mêmes 500 € investis en bourse pendant le même nombre d’années, avec une hypothèse de rendement assez prudente de 7 % par an, Permettraient toujours à cette même personne de partir à la retraite avec un capital d’environ 1,5 million d’euros. Ce qui lui offrirait aisément une rente de 3 000 € par mois à vie. Et en cas de décès, ce capital ne serait pas perdu : il serait transmis à ses descendants. Pour rappel, le marché actions mondial a offert une performance moyenne d’environ 8 % par an depuis plus de deux siècles, Malgré deux guerres mondiales, des crises économiques majeures, des pandémies, des récessions… et bien plus encore. Alors je ne dis pas que passer à un système de retraite par capitalisation serait la réponse à tous nos problèmes, Mais balayer cette hypothèse d’un revers de main, comme le font bon nombre de nos “élus”, ne me semble pas non plus être une bonne idée. J’ai volontairement pris les chiffres pour une personne au SMIC ici, Je vous laisse imaginer le capital/la rente à laquelle pourrait prétendre une personne gagnant 2 000–2 500 €/mois. Notre système actuel est arrivé au bout de ce qu’il pouvait offrir et se rapproche désormais davantage d’une pyramide de Ponzi que d’un système de solidarité intergénérationnel. Refuser de le réformer en profondeur, avec toutes les datas mises à la disposition de tout le monde, c’est criminel.
