@Pr0Hom0 @MinEffortLive @mark_mackillop Youre implying people chose to be trans. Also being trans isnt about becoming a stereotype of the oposite sex you werent born into.
English

@CrypticBore @MinEffortLive @mark_mackillop No one forced them to embrace the socially constructed gender stereotypes of the opposite sex to the point that using those facilities would cause that them that much distress.
English

@Pr0Hom0 @MinEffortLive @mark_mackillop No one should have to do that type of thinking and mental "math" for lack of a phrase to pee or poo in a public restroom to keep themselves safe. That is not and should not be the norm.
English

@CrypticBore @MinEffortLive @mark_mackillop Oh! So, no need to make accommodations? Thanks for the info!

@jujuAwndatTweet @33turbos This feels very niche. Havnt been or lived in nz for ages.
English

@transm1das I do to but with sleep being so hard im replying to you at 4am even though we are in the same time zone.
English

@Feyd3887 @MadamSavvy @stevenspohn Theres also legal rights vs exstential rights. Kinda relates to social obligations and social contracts. Its complicated nuanced and messy.
English

@Feyd3887 @MadamSavvy @stevenspohn Id beg you to read further down or check out my replies on my profile. I argue for more standization of settings. Some phrases you can do more reading on universal design, the 0% investment /the curbcut effect. All of these are doable without slavery to 1 specific persons needs

My right to access a game supersedes your right to immersion. Accessibility options can be turned off, leaving your immersion intact. My disability cannot be switched off. Your desire to brag about beating a difficult game should not be fulfilled at the cost of people like me.

What gaming opinion will you defend like this?🚀

@MinEffortLive @mark_mackillop Nah in reality for a trans person to use a public toilet they think "can i hold it till i get home?/how badly do i need2go" "is a unisex toilet available?" "do i have a friend thats c1s that can come with me.(safety in numbers)" "I dont feel safe in the mens or the womens"
English

@JennaFights4You Wait areu really a trans medicalist like you said in the stepping down from trans activism post? I coulve sworn uve posted tucutes type positions ormisremebered. Have you just waivered a bit/ a bit more nuance? Do you see harm in taking the tucutes position. Im tucutes myself.

@linusgsebastian @ryangerritsen Based take
also itd be hella weird for part of the act/art/entertainment which the asl preformer is- to just be completely still except for the talking part. What you said about vibe is right.
English

@ryangerritsen Grew up in a household with a couple of deaf people. He's actually doing a really good job of translating the 'vibe'. The lyrics aren't the whole point and ASL is a highly-expressive language. It's not just 'english with your hands'.
If it bothers you that much, touch grass.

@MadamSavvy @stevenspohn Ive clarified this in many other tweets but as succinctly as this does. But i think im done talking on the topic as i feel ive debated most angles while conecting it to social contracts and the perfectionism is the opponent of good/progress or however that idiom is phrased.

English

@CrypticBore @stevenspohn Again that is actually not a right.
And still, entertainment is not a right.
There is no metric for “life worth living” either.
English

@LeoBigSad @pyro_is_dead @MadamSavvy @stevenspohn Im defs saying duty of care is a right and thats an interesting statement im going to think on more as i havnt put that into words before.
English

@LeoBigSad @pyro_is_dead @MadamSavvy @stevenspohn be removing universal anchor points to ones that dont work upon opening? Idk theres a whole conversation about social contracts and city planing here thats related. 4/4
English

@KSMGuns @stevenspohn Well that last paragrapgh maybewhere youd say im wrong at the end there cause i stand by op but not making it a 1 person entitled anothers labour argument but how once somthing is standard its not seen as labour. Feel free2 find those threads cause i think it delves n2 philosophy
English

You're not even a little bit wrong and this highlights the problem with broad spectrum conversations regarding this topic. Modern era, I think high level accessibility features like what you've mentioned are, for the most part, an understood bare minimum. To a certain extent, anyway. Obviously there's still some ways to go on standardizing these.
However, these same arguments are used pretty frequently to talk about games where high intensity mechanical interaction, and equally frequently end up looping back to the usual suspects of "difficult" games needing to be toned down for "accessibility" and it's degraded and devalued the argument to the point where it's hard to tell if people mean ACTUAL accessibility, or yet more people demanding borderline handholding in games where the vision doesn't need it.
However, I will still die on the hill that you do not have ANY right of accessibility to a game. THAT was the biggest issue I took with OPs words. Trying to change the optics of the conversation by trying to use that sort of language is, in my super intelligent verbose elegant opinion, a lot of fucken horsefeathers. Trying to boil down the issue to something as base as someone not supporting you being against some form of rights is... unhealthy to the discussion.

@criticcatdotcom @ChronoKatie Oh its part of play pass on android. Neat. I can try it out and then buy it on a platform i actually enjoy

@ChronoKatie The Longing helped get me through quarantine after I was newly single, struggling with alcohol, living and working from home alone with just my two cats.
