why the fuck did they make the gold medal game for men’s hockey at 8am EST/5am PST for Canada/USA viewers. I know it’s set in advance but cmon, you had to expect it to at least one US/CAN to be in it and for that to be the largest viewing markets. Stupidity

Last year the United States and Canada faced off in 🇨🇦 during the 4 Nations Face-Off. Canadian fans booed the US National Anthem and then they had THREE different fights in the first NINE seconds of the game. The US went on to defeat Canada 3-1 🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅

Somebody blew it big time by scheduling the men’s hockey gold medal game for 8 a.m. ET Sunday. That just can’t happen. You know it’s going to be U.S.-Canada. European time zones don’t matter. They should’ve worked the entire Olympics schedule around giving it a better slot.

Beating greatest hockey country in the world and Canadian referees same night is impossible I guess… absolutely embarrassing penalty 90 seconds to go in Olympic semifinal.. what a joke🤬

Asked the IIHF for comment on the missed call, 6 Czechs skaters on the ice for their 3-2 goal. An IIHF spokesperson today said they reviewed it and obviously saw what we all saw, there was a missed called there. The IIHF says they went through a thorough process to select the on-officials for this tournament, the best of the best are here. But mistakes happen. The spokesperson said everyone involved has regrouped and are focusing on the rest of the tournament.

The Olympic committee, NBC, and even the NHL need to find a way to change the start time of the gold medal game. To potentially have USA and Canada playing in the potentially the biggest game ever and you’re going to start it when most of North America is asleep??
