🚨🚨🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: Jim Jordan DEMANDS Jack Smith turn over documents about the scope of his investigation into Trump’s handling of classified documents. Here’s the best part: Jordan likely BROKE THE LAW by violating 18 U.S. Code § 1505. Here are the details: Specifically, Jordan and his committee are demanding an unredacted copy of the memorandum outlining the scope of Mr. Smith’s probes regarding President Trump and any supporting documentation related to his appointment as special counsel. Jordan’s demands come a day after attorneys for the former president met with Smith and others at Justice Department headquarters and the same week the grand jury investigating Trump’s handling of classified documents is expected to meet again. Jordan said he is seeking the Justice Department documents by June 20. Here’s the thing. Doing ANYTHING to impede a special investigation is a CRIME. According to 18 U.S. Code § 1505 - Obstruction of proceedings before departments, agencies and committees: “Whoever corruptly, or by threats or force, or by any threatening letter or communication influences, obstructs, or impedes or endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede the due and proper administration of the law under which any pending proceeding is being had before any department or agency of the United States,” that person shall be GUILTY of obstruction. The punishment is a prison term up to 5 years. Jordan’s legislative meddling on an executive branch investigation is improper. What are your thoughts? Should he be held accountable? Should Jack Smith pursue obstruction charges on Jordan?
