Will finish either 3-3 or 2-4 against the worst team in the NL, six of the easiest games on the schedule.
Have to make up for those with wins over better teams now.
It hurts. If you standings-watch, you’re rooting for COL almost every nite. Which is frustrating cuz they stink.

@3YearLetterman I am a Nebraska fan and will say a good one is Nebraska being picked over red-hot Colorado (who had just wiped the floor with Neb) in 2001 simply because Colorado had 2 early losses. They probably also get steamrolled in the title game but Colorado deserved the spot.

Literally the only answer to this is in modern times is West Virginia losing 13-9 to Pitt in the last regular season game of 2007
That was the one shot they were ever going to get at a national championship and they pissed it away against a 4 TD underdog who was their arch rival
The Kick 6 is a stupid nomination. Alabama had won 3 of 4 national titles and was clearly going to win more. It sucked but it didn’t alter the trajectory of the program
But the 2007 Backyard Brawl was IT for West Virginia

I understand being upset. Carmen has performed admirably up to this point and exceeded whatever expectations I had of him.
But, like, what the hell, dude? Have you not assessed the current situation? Do you not see the bullpen blowing multiple leads per week? Remember how you are asked every time out how you are completely unable to get outs a 3rd time thru the order?
Be disappointed. I would be, too. But bringing your agent into this topic in front of the media and your teammates in the clubhouse just seems completely out of line.
Do your job. You'll get another shot. Team needs you.

- Bullpen shaky but held it down.
Doesn't feel like it, but that was a .500 road trip. At some point though, it's gonna need to turn into .500 < roadtrips.

This was after a game the Pirates lost after leading 10-3 going into the 7th inning. He used Nicolas, Chapman, Santana, and Bednar and probably had people complaining about his bullpen usage. Anyway, the more things change the more the stay the same

I think if Shelton had that kind of anger after some of the rough stretches earlier in the year fans probably wouldn’t be calling for his head quite as much. Much of the criticism of him has been that it seems he doesn’t care. That’s always been my issue with him.
