#Dhurandhar2 Review If we talk about euphoria, right from Mughal-E-Azam to Shahenshah, and in recent times films like Baahubali 2 and KGF 2, we’ve seen an unmatched level of excitement during their releases people would wait for days just to watch them. And now, the same kind of euphoria is being witnessed for Dhurandhar 2. But with such massive hype comes sky-high expectations. Also, since the gap between Dhurandhar 1 and Dhurandhar 2 is relatively short, the hangover of the first part is still very strong, which raises expectations even further. So the big question is will Dhurandhar 2 surpass this massive euphoria and deliver another blockbuster? This time, the story introduces a new track exploring Ranveer’s past, along with the very important “Bade Saheb” track, which turns out to be a major highlight of the film. Talking about the first half, it begins with a brutal action sequence from Ranveer’s past, followed by his first meeting with R. Madhavan, the killing of Arshad Pappu, and key moments involving Arjun Rampal and his father, along with the “Bade Saheb” angle, all leading up to a terrific interval block. However, this portion could have had more high points, as it doesn’t quite surpass the level of Part 1. And yes, the absence of Akshaye Khanna is felt. But as soon as the second half begins, the film transforms completely, it just keeps getting better and better. The post-interval sequences, Madhavan’s moments, Ranveer eliminating enemies one by one, his attempt to take down Bade Saheb, his face-off with Arjun, the big twist in the climax, and Ranveer’s final expressions everything works brilliantly here. As for the length, the film runs close to 4 hours—but once you’re immersed in it, you won’t mind the duration at all and will actually want to see more. Talking about the music, Dhurandhar 1 had some amazing songs along with impactful retro tracks in the background. However, in this film, there are barely any new songs, which turns out to be a major drawback. “Ari Ari” is present, but only in the background and not as a full-fledged track. There are a few retro songs like Dil Par Zakhm, Hum Pyaar Karne Wale, Kabhi Bekasi Ne, Tamma Tamma Loge, Oue Oue, and the Arabic track Didi. While they are well placed within the film, they don’t quite match up to the music and background score of Part 1, making this aspect a bit of a letdown. Coming to the direction, this is completely Aditya Dhar’s film. In many places, he has showcased great attention to detail. Hats off to him for putting everything together so effectively. Ranveer Singh once again shines, especially in the emotional and silent moments. His action is raw and intense. Arjun Rampal delivers a powerful performance, while Sanjay Dutt is solid in his role. Sara Arjun is decent in her part. R. Madhavan stands out as outstanding, and Rakesh Bedi is equally impressive. Overall, Dhurandhar 2 lives up to the hype and satisfies the craving for revenge-driven storytelling. The second half is explosive and ultimately makes it a paisa vasool entertainer. Yes, due to extremely high expectations and inevitable comparisons with Part 1, it might fall slightly short for some, but it’s still a must-watch for those who loved the first film. I would rate it 4 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ RJ #DivyaSolgama #DhurandharTheRevenge @RanveerOfficial @rampalarjun @duttsanjay @ActorMadhavan @bolbedibol @AdityaDharFilms @LokeshDharB62 @JioHotstar @B62Studios

I’m incredibly grateful to GOD 🙏🏻 for helping me pull through a extremely critical open-heart bypass surgery 🫀 with 6–8 major blockages, including one that was 99% blocked. It was a life-and-death situation, but thanks to the incredible doctors and superhuman surgeons, constant prayers, and the support of my family, loved ones, and well-wishers, the surgery went well — and yes, I am alive. It’s still a long long road to recovery & rest So ‘Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost…’ RJ Divya Solgama

#Border2 Review “Tribute, Tears & Tiranga: The Spirit Lives On.” When we talk about iconic war-based films, titles like 'Haqeeqat', 'Lakshya', and a few others instantly come to mind. But when it comes to a universally appealing blockbuster war film, there is only one name that stands tall - 'Border'. This 1997 classic broke the long-standing jinx of war films not becoming blockbusters. Everything about it, from 'Sandese Aate Hain' to Sunny Deol’s thunderous roar and Suniel Shetty’s fiery rage still echoes in our hearts and souls. Making a sequel to such a landmark film is no easy task, and here, the makers have managed to do a commendable job. 'Border 2' is immensely engaging from its very first scene and keeps you glued till the final shot. The first half opens with Sunny Deol’s impactful entry and action sequence, perfectly justifying his larger-than-life aura. The academy portions featuring Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, alongside Sunny Deol, are both entertaining and effective, especially Sunny Deol’s speech on brotherhood. There are touching emotional moments as the soldiers leave their homes, followed by high-octane action where Sunny Deol ambushes a village, delivering some dumdar dialogues and a powerful interval block. The only slight drawback here is that this portion feels a bit stretched, mainly due to the romantic tracks and character establishment, which could have been trimmed. The second half strikes a near-perfect balance between emotions and action. The Sunny–Mona Singh–son track, followed by the letter-reading sequence, is deeply moving. Ahan and Diljit’s combat scenes, Varun’s superb motivational speech, Sunny Deol’s electrifying ‘Jurrat’ moment, and the climax action make it an out-and-out Sunny Deol show. The end credits are highly emotional and leave a lasting impact, followed by a subtle tribute that beautifully connects back to Border. While the placement of 'Sandese Aate Hain' feels slightly out of place and would have worked better earlier, and some combat scenes involving Ahan and Diljit feel a bit hurried, these are minor hiccups in an otherwise solid paisa-vasool film. The music works brilliantly. 'Sandese Aate Hain', 'Aye Jaate Hue Lamho', and the new addition 'Mitti Ke Bete'' strike the right chords. The background score complements the film’s flow perfectly. The director successfully delivers a heartland film that connects strongly with its target audience. While it may not be the greatest war film ever made, it is certainly among the most entertaining war films of the last few decades. #SunnyDeol is truly a one-man army. Set him loose, and he carries the entire film on his powerful shoulders. His portrayal is that of a superhero, and he does complete justice to it—every dialogue gives you goosebumps and demands applause. #VarunDhawan, who has faced trolling in recent times, delivers a fitting reply with this performance. His Haryanvi dialect is spot-on, and he shines in both the motivational and war sequences. #DiljitDosanjh has a vibrant role with some super dumdar dialogues, especially appealing to the Sikh community. #AhanShetty is decent in his part, and his final moment serves as a beautiful ode to his father’s character from Border. #MonaSingh is excellent in her brief yet emotionally strong role. #MedhaRana is charming and highly promising, while #SonamBajwa and #AnanyaSingh are fine in their blink-and-miss appearances. #ParavirCheema and several supporting actors leave a strong impression. Overall, Border 2 is a fitting tribute to our heroes, blending tears, patriotism, and the right emotions required for this genre. It successfully carries forward the spirit of Border in a grand and respectful manner. #HappyPatelKhatarnakJasoos Review “Wacky, quirky, and unapologetically mad” Remember those Mike Myers, Jim Carrey, Steve Martin, Adam Sandler, and Rob Schneider–type movies that delivered nonstop, unfiltered humour with quirky punchlines, a bit of naughty comedy, and playful digs at popular films? Well, ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’ belongs to that very space. This one is packed with loads of one-liners, unfiltered naughty jokes, a mad screenplay, silly humour, and a wafer-thin script. Vir Das’s broken Hindi almost becomes a character in itself. There are several highly enjoyable moments—Aamir Khan’s cameo, Happy discovering his Indian roots followed by learning Hindi, Sharib Hashmi and Vir Das’s silly communication, Vir at Mona Singh’s house, Imran Khan’s cameo leading into the climax, and the finale dance set to popular Bollywood songs. On the flip side, the romantic track dilutes the fun, followed by less cinematic moments. The story needed a few more elements to keep the madness flowing consistently. #VirDas is hilarious and performs with total conviction. He pulls off even swear words with innocence written all over his face. #MithilaPalkar is cute in her part, #SharibHashmi is thoroughly enjoyable & has its own charm, and #MonaSingh adds excitement. The cameos by #AamirKhan and #ImranKhan are fun and effective. Overall, ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’ is nowhere close to ‘Delhi Belly’ and may not have universal likability. Some might find it over-the-top, but on its own terms, it remains wacky, quirky, and unapologetically mad. If you enjoy this kind of comedy, this one will entertain you for sure. The trailer of #Border2 promises a grand spectacle, with emotions hitting all the right notes. The interplay between #VarunDhawan, #DiljitDosanjh, and #AhanShetty looks exciting and adds a fresh energy to the narrative. The action feels raw, gritty, and massive, no gloss, just power. And #Sunny Deol… every dialogue lands with full dumdaar impact, with the final line stealing the show completely. All set for what looks like a potential BIG FILM!! Take a bow, #JuhiBabbar ✨ You were absolutely beautiful in “Ek Lamhaa Zindagi – A Love Story 1938–1979.” Your mono-act felt honest and heartfelt, keeping us completely with you from the very first moment to the last. You made us smile, tear up, and quietly reflect—all at once. This felt like a touching tribute to your legendary grandmother, and you honoured that legacy with warmth, dignity, and depth. Through your performance, we were gently taken back to a golden era of simplicity, innocence, and pure love. Ek hi dil hai… kitni baar jeetoge? 💖 Truly moving. More power to you. #Ikkis Movie Review 'An emotionally enriching ode to real and reel-life heroes..' There have been several war-based films in Hindi cinema, but while most of them narrate events from the enemy front, very few movies like Vijeta or Haqeeqat attempt to capture the emotional journey and personal life of a soldier. Ikkis is one such rare war film where the focus strongly remains on the emotional and human side of war. The film is based on the true-life story of Param Vir Chakra awardee #ArunKhetarpal, a hero of the Indo–Pakistani War of 1971. The makers have presented the narrative in three layers - one set at the war front featuring young Agastya Nanda, another set 30 years later featuring Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat, and in between, glimpses of Agastya’s romantic and training phase alongside Simar Bhatia. The first half starts with warm and emotional moments featuring Dharmendra, followed by him showing his son’s photograph to Jaideep’s family. Agastya’s introduction, his excitement on seeing his tank for the first time, his NDA training and competition sequences, Dharmendra’s Punjabi poem, war portions, and the hardships leading up to the final confrontation between Agastya and Jaideep are all superb. Dharmendra’s emotional depth in the climax is particularly moving. These scenes form the highlights of the film and are presented in a very classy manner. On the flip side, the non-linear narrative occasionally dilutes the impact of some powerful emotional and war sequences. The romantic track needed stronger narration, as it feels slightly forced into the screenplay. The second half also required tighter editing, as it dwells more on the emotional and human aspects. The background score is superb, and the use of retro songs feels refreshing. The dialogues are heartfelt and perfectly packed with emotion. This is a very different #SriramRaghavan film, where the focus is more on emotions than on the thriller quotient. Only he could make Ikkis look so rich and transport the audience back in time. His portrayal of war is elegant and will remind you of Commando comics. Talking about performances, #Dharmendra is outstanding in what appears to be his final film. He has a full-fledged role and shines through his dialogues and emotional expressions. The way he hugs Deepak Dobriyal and Jaideep in the end is deeply moving. He beautifully portrays the pain of an ageing father while also displaying the strength of an ex-military officer. #AgastyaNanda looks impressive and often reminds you of a young #AbhishekBachchan. He fits effortlessly into the role of a young army officer and does complete justice to it. His power-packed energy and expressive eyes in several scenes are surprising. He even brings to mind young Hollywood heroes, definitely a talent to watch out for. #SimarBhatia looks charming and performs her role with warmth. #JaideepAhlawat has a strong emotional part and shines in all his scenes with Dharmendra. #VivaanShah, #SikandarKher (wanted more of him), #RahulDev, and #DeepakDobriyal are effective in their respective roles, while Mamik and #Asrani are decent in their cameo appearances. Overall, Ikkis is an emotionally enriching ode to real and reel-life heroes (Param Vir Chakra awardee Arun Khetarpal and our beloved Dharmendra). It is a well-made, content-driven film with powerful performances and heartfelt moments. The runtime could have been crisper, which makes it a 3.5-star film out of 5. However, being a die-hard Dharmendra fan and as a tribute to one of the finest actors of our industry, I am adding an extra star, making my final rating 4.5 out of 5. Go and watch it on the big screen! #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri Review (Read it before you decide to spend your hard earned money) “Picture-perfect romance, missing the pulse.” This film is a classic example of how breathtaking locations, superior production values, and a visually appealing lead pair can still fall short due to a wafer-thin script and uninspired direction. Visually, the film is undeniably stunning. Almost every frame is postcard-perfect. #KartikAaryan and #AnanyaPanday look their best and make sincere efforts to do justice to their characters. A few light-hearted moments do manage to bring a smile, offering brief respite, but unfortunately, that’s where the engagement largely ends. The screenplay lacks depth and variety. The first half often feels like a glossy, sponsored tourism promotion for Croatia rather than a story-driven narrative. While several films have successfully used foreign locations as an integral part of storytelling, here the scenic beauty fails to merge organically with the plot. Over time, the visual appeal loses its charm due to the absence of a compelling narrative backbone. In a romantic film, one expects emotionally resonant moments, meaningful conversations, unspoken chemistry, or memorable music that elevates the experience. Sadly, none of these elements leave a lasting impact. Although the chemistry between Kartik and Ananya appears promising on the surface, it gradually fizzles out because of weak emotional and narrative support. The second half introduces the central conflict, which is relatable but not strong enough to warrant such an extended resolution. The screenplay feels unnecessarily stretched, and the forced inclusion of multiple side characters disrupts the film’s rhythm. Even the comedy, much like the romance and conflict, feels contrived and fails to land naturally. Some of the dialogues are like cringe fest. Kartik Aaryan makes a commendable effort to shoulder the film and remains the primary reason viewers stay invested. Without his presence, there would be very little to hold attention. Ananya Panday delivers a noticeably more mature performance in the latter half and shines in select moments; however, a stronger screenplay could have showcased her growth more effectively. The supporting cast delivers inconsistent performances, with some characters appearing disengaged. The film does conclude with a well-intentioned and progressive message, but reaching that point demands considerable patience from the audience. RJ #DivyaSolgama (1.5/5)
