@RishiSunak @Jeremy_Hunt I actually have no words to describe the anger that I feel about yesterday’s “Budget”. It is very clear that this moribund, incompetent government have absolutely no interest whatsoever in helping the hospitality industry. The “alcohol duty freeze” doesn’t help pubs, bars and restaurants in the slightest as “alcohol duty” is paid by the brewers and distillers and not us. The “freeze” also goes nowhere near covering the 10-40p per pint price rises that we’re seeing from the very same brewers. This was a ‘scorched earth’ budget and nothing more; the @Conservatives know that they are finished and are deliberately leaving the country in such a terrible state that whatever administration comes next, will have no hope of fixing it in a 5 year term.
