@JohnnyGiunta_ Because the ball isn't in the zone. Like it's always been. Touching the zone isn't throwing it in the zone. You already use the abs, just put the damn volume of the ball in it too. Otherwise you are extending the zone unnecessarily with the extra width of the ball

I understand football quite well & love this rule change....can't punt once you're past the 50. Your options? Go for the 1st, convert or potentially give up the ball close to midfield, attempt a FG and get pts or potentially miss and give the ball up at the 50...great rule

This is what a strike is. Same as a ball nicking the white chalk being fair. Also have to remember ABS zone is set up in the middle of the plate, so in reality these pitches were slightly higher as they first reached the plate. The goal is consistency, and this is consistent.

Nah im tired of gray area calls its black and white if its a strike its a strike if not then its a ball. This doesn’t suck this provides consistency and more uniform integrity for the game
