A Turkish boxer murdered a florist in cold blood by punching him so hard that it shattered his skull. The victim’s sister had the audacity to share a photo of the fighter’s wife’s floral bouquet on the shop’s Instagram page. The woman got mad about it and sent her husband to confront the florist. The fighter lost his temper the instant the victim walked in and killed him on the spot. The florist had no idea anything was wrong.

One of the reasons Governors are very big on the P-BAT project, the removal of subsidy has increased allocations to State generally and a lot of States have paid their debts and they also have room to do more for the people.
Tony Ajah@tonyajah

JUST IN: Governor Otti moved Abia’s debt profile from ₦191.2 billion to ₦48.4 billion by paying a staggering sum of ₦142 billion in less than 3 years in office, yet with all the work he’s doing, he hasn’t borrowed a dime. Good governance is not rocket science. You either know what you are doing, or you are busy stealing and lying.

OMO ALE MACARONI. @mrmacaroni, your behavior is quite disappointing. If you genuinely respected your father, you wouldn’t have spoken to the president in such a manner. However, I understand that many people lack respect for their parents. One thing is certain: you will all end up embarrassed. President @officialABAT will be successful; he will not let Nigerians down. I don’t have anything more to add. @OfficialAPCNg @SenRemiTinubu @STinubu

I have seen most of the comments and honestly, like the other times, they didn’t make me angry only that this time, I have chosen not to give them the honor of my coming out to respond or defend myself. On many occasions in the past, I found myself explaining things I didn’t even need to explain, which were often out of restraint. To those criticizing me today, if my achievements make them uncomfortable, they may want to prepare for a long ride. This particular project is already about 70–80% structurally complete and it won’t be the last, as more projects will follow immediately, so there will be even more for them to be angry about. Allah ya ba mu ladan zagin da ake yi mana muke kau da kai bamu rama ba saboda umarnin Sa.

I see people questioning his wealth as if he stole funds in the past administration. The truth is: - he may have had businesses outside his salary as the president’s aide. - he may have had friends or friends of his boss who have given him some money in the past or even currently. - he may have investors willing to invest in this current project. - it may be a loan he collected to fund the project to be repaid later. … all these are possibilities.

This is a personal project very close to my heart. I am developing a Recreational Park and Sport Arena in my hometown, Gaya Local Government in Kano State. The project is a modern community hub that will combine leisure, sports, commerce and social services in one place. The facility will feature a mini stadium for football and basketball, an event centre, a restaurant, a supermarket, shops and a mosque. My vision is to build a space that will serve families, empower young people, support businesses, and become a lasting landmark of pride and progress for the good people of Gaya. Allah ya ba mu ikon kammalawa. Ameen!

FURTHER UPDATE: We have spoken with the airlines mentioned by the lady. She is yet to reply to my message via her Instagram handle, but here is what we have found out so far: 1. Contrary to the information I received and disseminated earlier, her video was not from last year. It was made two days ago. There is a reason nobody knew the date of that video, and I will explain that shortly. 2. Why did Egypt Air not board her: According to the airline, the passenger duly presented a return ticket belonging to United Airlines (an American operator). That should have qualified her. However, she did not have either a US visa or a transit visa that would qualify her to travel via United because the route would have been Barcelona-Washington-Lagos. Without a transit visa, she would have been stuck in Barcelona. The airline insists that she only held a Spanish visiting visa. She demanded to speak with the station or duty manager and she did. The meeting was said to have been cordial. The manager claims to have explained to her that it is better she is not boarded from Nigeria than to be stuck in Barcelona. According to the manager, there was no rancour, and the passenger did not express any anger. This was why nobody noticed when she made a video. To them, it was a shock. This was why they assumed that it could not have been a recent video because there was no argument two days ago. 3. I have reached out to Dara. If her return ticket was to be operated by Lufthansa, then she would have been flown to Lagos via Frankfurt. This, According to United Airlines (we also spoke with them), depended on whether the ticket she purchased indicated that it was a code share flight to be operated by their partner airline, Lufthansa. Only if Dara shows us a copy of her ticket would we be able to clarify this. If you know her, kindly have her respond to my message, and we can protect her rights of she proves the airline's perspective to be incorrect.

Building a project like the one in the image—a major desert canal roughly Suez-scale (100+ km, massive excavation through sand/rock, locks, ports)—would likely cost $20-60 billion today. Breakdown: - New Suez expansion (72 km parallel channel) ran ~$8.5B in 2015. - Add inflation, full new route, environmental regs, labor, and materials in a volatile region: easily 3-7x that. Trump-era infrastructure bids (e.g., border wall segments) showed these numbers balloon fast with politics and logistics. Exact route/scope would refine it.

@Darkwebbar I did. And I can pick holes based on aspects of her story. Meanwhile, I am in discussions with the airlines mentioned. This video is not even dated, not current. It does not invalidate the issue, but I will respond later tonight.

The passenger needs to be educated. If an airline flies you to a destination and you are considered inadmissible, the authorities will have the same airline fly you back, and they will be fined. Without their return ticket, that means they'd be flying you for free and also pay a fine for having brought you in. They therefore try to prevent that possible scenario by ensuring that you have a return ticket with them. Another thing you can do is book your return ticket with another airline that has an interline arrangement with the first operator. They know how to share liabilities between each other. For instance, if you book Air France for outbound and KLM for inbound, it COULD work. This is just one example. Not everything is done to hurt or humiliate a passenger. Airlines do not control passport control in any state, so they also have a right to try and be careful. Finally. As much as airlines have a duty to provide information if asked by the passenger, be advised that the responsibility of ensuring proper and complete travel documents and itinerary lies with the passenger.

“Egypt Air is a terrible airline especially for Nigerians. They refused to let me check in saying if I don’t have a resident permit in Spain (where I am going to), I must book a return ticket with them” — Lady calls out EgyptAir.
