This quarter, I’ve closed multiple $1M+ without a slide deck. I’m using a single AI tool. Today, I want to share it, free. After signing, a prospect asked me how we created the site. They were so wow-ed they wanted it for their own clients. Here’s what floored them: it took a single designer 5 minutes to prompt and launch. The AI chains together 6 key parts of our sales process, turning a 18-page deck into a single, personalized website. When they asked, I gave them this template and workflow. Now I want to share it for free: Follow me + comment “GA” and I’ll DM it.

William on how an early stage employee takes way more risk than a founder: "If I'm making $400-500K at Google or Meta and go to an early stage company to get 1% of this company and make $90,000. I've now changed the trajectory of my life, that's a lot of risk. But as a founder, you're not. It's a much higher likelihood that of the next round, regardless of your company, you'll be able to sell some secondary. If it shuts down, you can get employed at a great company, and you have a CEO on your resume. That first employee, they have first employee at a failed company. That's actually not a great resume line item. So we've de-risked the founder, but we haven't de-risked the early stage employee."

.@williamhockey is one of the least visible founders in tech relative to what he has created. He co-founded Plaid and is now building Column, a software company that owns a bank, and powers Ramp, Wise, Bilt, Mercury, and others. He funded it himself by borrowing against nearly everything he had in Plaid shares, and has never raised any outside capital. His story matters because so much of the value in our industry gets created through exactly this kind of extreme personal risk. He is maniacal about being the best in the world at his thing, and has spent his entire career betting on himself and doing whatever it takes to win. He also spends a lot of time outside the US (in places like Kinshasa) which has given him a rare perch on the power of the US dollar. We discuss: - Why emerging markets are often the most financially innovative - What owning 100% of his company allows him to do that VC-backed founders cannot - Getting margin called and nearly going bankrupt - Why the best founders are specialists - What it takes to be the best in the world at your thing - How Silicon Valley's consensus culture produces consensus founders - How the US dollar functions as an instrument of national security Enjoy! The best small businesses of the next decade will run on a barbell: One side: leverage AI for ruthless speed and scale. The other side: be aggressively, inconveniently human. Show up in person. Send the note. Remember the name. Do the thing that doesn't scale. The ones who nail BOTH ends will eat everyone else’s lunch.

Tidy 10. At our office, once a day at 3 pm. Employees need to spend 10 minutes cleaning their workspace. If their space is clean, pick something else. We get so much done. I LOVE IT. Stole it from Rakuten company manual. Some staff told me they now do it at home. WIN.

We raised a $27M Series A to replace the spreadsheets and human duct tape behind $100 trillion in global assets. Fund administration is the invisible backbone of private equity and venture capital - and it’s broken. Why? Financial data is scattered, stale, and locked inside legacy providers. Books take forever to close. Basic questions about your own fund take days to answer. So we rebuilt the general ledger, waterfall engine, investor portal, and portfolio management from scratch. One single source of truth for your firm. Our AI agents read emails, propose journal entries, and extract portfolio updates in seconds. Our CPAs review every output. Today, we administer $15 billion in assets - and we’re just getting started. Every fund CFO keeps getting asked: how will you adopt AI? Now you have an answer. Run your firm in real-time with @hanoverpark. –- Excited to partner with Jake Saper at @emergencecap @peterjhebert at Lux, @chadbyers/@pratyushbuddiga at Susa and CFOs at the largest private equity firms to forge this future.
