There is a huge dumb elephant in the room right now. People I respect and people I can't stand are saying something so stupid I have to point it out. Anyone on the left or right that talks about being against "forever wars" that does not talk about how we are STILL in Japan, Germany, and Korea looks like an ignorant fool. That they do not demand we immediately pull out of Japan, Germany, and Korea shows they are all hypocrites, idiots, or both. I'm not for forever wars. I'm not against forever wars. I think it is idiotic to make a blanket statement either way. And I think the naïveté demonstrated by all sides on this is utterly shocking.

I say this as someone that wants to see the Islamic Republic in Iran fall… But it isn’t going to happen because of US ground forces. Among other objectives the US is creating space for the Iranian people to take over. That does not mean this will be another nation building exercise by the US. The time the Iranians have to do it is limited. I don’t say that arrogantly or with a presumption that I understand how horrible it has been for the Iranian people. I say it because it’s the truth.

I just got off the phone with the California Secretary of State’s office. It looks like the state is conducting preliminary work for an investigation. They seem very adomant about tracking down the individuals responsible for orchestrating the fraud ring, and taking them down.

Today, in Iran, in the middle of a war, the regime executed a 19-year-old national wrestling champion for the crime of joining January protests. 💔 After signaling to the world, including President @realDonaldTrump, that they would halt executions of protesters, the regime has done the exact opposite. Three young protesters, Saleh Mohammadi, Mehdi Ghasemi, and Saeed Davoudi, were hanged in Qom after a sham trial. Reports indicate torture. Forced confessions. No access to chosen lawyers. Closed-door proceedings. No right to appeal. I call on @GlobalAthleteHQ to stand with Iranian athletes who are being silenced, imprisoned, and executed simply for raising their voices.
