It’s crazy that, as a person who a year ago built my first iOS app because I didn’t want to spend $10/mo, I’m now considering the $200/mo codex plan because my two $20 plans still make it so I have to pick and choose what to do to not run out.

@rohanvarma I'd prob use that for some timed automated tasks I have every day, or for running something as im leaving or whatever if it could help the $20/mo sub last a little long.

If we made /slow mode in Codex, would you use it? What for? (Slower inference at a cheaper cost)

I truly don’t get the number of posts I see about how people think @openclaw is useless. I have the opposite problem of having to constantly lessen what I’m doing cause I only have 2 $20 codex plans and I run out of my weekly budgets constantly. It researches for me, brainstorming partner, automated marketing for one of my apps, analyzes my App Store metrics, manages my home assistant, holds and update all my notes and tasks, reminds me what I need to be doing work wise, can update my jira tickets, summarizes email threads I give to it, builds out prototypes, lets me voice chat back and forth, and so many other random things. I’ve been out of tokens for 3 days between the 2 subs cause I was doing so much experimenting this week. Appreciate what you have built @steipete. Has been awesome to have, super fun to mess around with, and my skills have grown because of it.

Currently using autoresearch to update the agent instructions of a local model to then increase its ability to be able to perform autoresearch on code. This is is bringing me back to when I first started with langgraph. Like this brain-breaking ai flow into another ai flow, etc

yeah i've definitely added quite a few any of the front end and backend agents where relevant can be helpful. i use convex so the convex agent is nice. i use the workers, the plan checker, the tdd writer, performance agent, and security auditor. really there's two buckets of agents. some you can use in many situations, and others you only use in very specific situations. so my recommendation would be to go through when you are working in specific projects, especially greenfield, and see what might be helpful you can add them project scoped so they can live in individual codebases. no need to add them to your general folder

Now that Subagents are officially GA, I have a gift for you. An enormous library of 425+ custom agent roles that you can drop directly into Codex. Subject matter experts of all kinds, curated from across Github. Link in the comments 🔗 Stars appreciated

Subagents are now available in Codex. You can accelerate your workflow by spinning up specialized agents to: • Keep your main context window clean • Tackle different parts of a task in parallel • Steer individual agents as work unfolds

@LLMJunky Have you added any of these to your codex? Which ones are you liking/are providing meaningful benefit for you?

Note: I didn't test or use all of these agents. They were curated from many sources (I will try to attribute later when I can find the thread I used to locate them). Awesome Claude Skills was one for sure. Check the "agents" folder here: github.com/am-will/codex-…

@thsottiaux I’d love to be able to have a config picker, cause I use a personal codex plan then also have a work gpt5.4, so would love to be able to easily have some projects on my works infra and personal projects on my personal plan.

@theo I'd love if your t3code would let me be able to have a model AND provider picker like opencode. I love the codex ui, but I switch between a personal codex sub and my work's LiteLLM models, and having to open the config to comment/uncomment to switch isn't great.

@rohanvarma I’d love the ability to have codex hit models in multiple endpoints. Like have my codex subscription, but also a model I can swap to to use the litellm models my work has. Similar to how you can choose what model/config you use in opencode.

Is it just me or is ChatGPT 5.4 awful at responding to instructions in Discord with @openclaw? Had to switch back to Sonnet 4.6 for now. Any ideas @steipete?

A small 🎁 from the Codex team. We’re rolling out GPT-5.3-Codex-Spark to our most engaged Codex subs on ChatGPT Plus. It's our fastest model yet, at well over 1K toks/sec! It's available as a temporary preview at no extra cost through March 20. Enjoy! ✨
