@chartnarc Molecular biology of the cell is a good start but I’ve never read a book on molecular biology. I’ve read tons of reference material and papers, listened to endless hours of lectures but never just read a textbook. Animation with hands on is a better format for teaching biotech.

@DavidIshee7 what book do I read first on genetic engineering / molecular biology / genomics.

This puppy of mine actually winked while I was taking pictures of them.

@DavidIshee7 I think it's possible that only people on the frontier are capable of developing comprehensive ethics. You can't develop a relevant system of ethics without being on the front lines. Often by not being there, you're not even aware of the possibilities.

No one has an ethical or moral framework that can handle the technology we’ll have in the next decade. Today’s moral and ethical issues are going to seem really simple and straightforward very soon.

@5002Egg @4LOVofScience How does one become informed if science on the subject isn’t allowed to be published? Guessing?

@4LOVofScience A journal doesn't wanna get into legal trouble if somebody follows the self-experimentation route and gets harmed in the process. At least that's what I'm assuming their thought -process is.
