A Race that got away from him-expended a huge amount of of energy with 300m to go to move from 5th to 1st
A lot of contact with Patterson 🇬🇧 (didn’t help) faded over last 100mts - Gutted for him!

1.59.07 for Femke Bol-Steep learning curve, she was left in no man’s land on the really important 3rd lap…..
Maybe didn’t have the belief or the speed endurance to commit (that’s what’s needed in the 800m)
No doubt next outing over 8 she’ll move into 1.58/57 territory.
