Oxford University researchers have discovered the densest element yet known to science... The new element, Governmentium (symbol=Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called pillocks. Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second, to take from 4 days to 4 years to complete. Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2 to 6 years. It does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganisation in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganisation will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. The US and getting caught in one's own zipper A client of mine has the colorful expression, when trapped in a situation where all options are negative, of "getting your d*ck stuck in your zipper...whether you go up or down, it's going to hurt". He reminded me of this in a phone call earlier this week, and I think that's pretty much where the US finds itself at the start of this weekend. Leaving aside the fact that one should not run into wars ill-prepared, all US options at this stage, some 4 weeks into the "excursion", have rather grim probable conflict outcomes. The full-scale invasion option is actual and political suicide. The very popular limited invasion of say Kharg Island, or Jask, is relatively easy to achieve, but costly and strategically illiterate to hold on to, and at the negotiating table, with these team members, further difficulties await. Iran has enough military options to walk away, for now, and time is still on their side. The least worst option is to continue with the sabre-rattling and troop movements, if they have to, but to get this resolved. To insist on deteriorating Iran's position further will take weeks, and will be extremely costly on a wide spectrum. The world has run out of time before Iran has. Cut the posturing and absurdities, get a competent team to commence real negotiations, off-screen, and craft one of the viable options still on the table. Whichever way, this is going to hurt, so best to get it over with

This is truly insane, and it should be front page news across America.  Denmark secretly deployed soldiers to Greenland prepared to blow up airport runways to stop a U.S. invasion. They brought blood supplies to treat the wounded. France, Germany, Norway, and Sweden quietly coordinated against us. This was not a drill. This was our closest allies preparing to fight Americans. Let that sink in. NATO allies. Countries whose soldiers have fought and died alongside ours for decades. They looked at this president and decided they had to prepare for the worst. Fewer allies does not make America great. It makes us more isolated, more vulnerable, and it hands Russia and China exactly what they have always wanted: an America abandoned by its friends.
