ofc! what really solidified this reading for me was that tamsyn herself is schizophrenic and mentioned it in her author’s note in the book. for starters: harrow wakes up in a hospital gown in a padded, white, artificially bright room. the mithraeum itself is described as (1/?)

Theres a something behind ianthe's obsession with harrow and her persistence on altering her in any way but im far too tired to put my finger on it and i dont wanna just say the SA line cause i feel its a lot more complicated than simply that

i don’t think harrow worshipping gideon would be compelling im sorry she’s a believer without a church sure but i think the way for her character is actually to learn to separate love from worship

@vminlvletter I support people putting it for fun in their smut and arts tho obviously. But yeah separating intrinsic duty & worship from love is important and I agree!

@vminlvletter I don’t know why she’d wanna worship Gideon specifically 😭 I do think next book will play with Gideon being the daughter of god & there will be a relevation that Gideon was responsible for her opening the tomb and there will be a power dynamic there

@_Honey_Wasp to gideon, but that line constitutes a sense of owing that is very...well akin to the keeping going at her until she lets her defenses down. i dont think it's the exact way that harrow and her relationship played out at all, i think it works moreso where ianthe insists on

@AnarkAlex she's quite literally the only other possibility. or, kiriona might mirror john and she did stuff w/ other ppl in the cohort. honestly i think of ianthe's attitude in the unwanted guest as disproving that she'd marry gideon atp, but who knows, alecto might prove me wrong

@jtacmas @korrasatx and i do wonder if this is revealing aspects of herself that gideon's pov are unable to reach (i think this is defintively true for her struggles with psychosis) and if it incorporates her supressed grief and depression in her reworked canaan house experience that makes her diff

@jtacmas @korrasatx she does, take the grave dirt to alleviate the effects of space on herself unlike in gtn. rather than being someone who is operating on unraveling truths like in gtn w/ some emotional blindspots, harrow has huge blindspots and is less probing and curious

can’t even think about atn being largely harrow’s pov or i will start crying i miss her so bad
