No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Mat 6:24 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. Rev 6:13

What a bizarre thing to say at such a weird time when there is undeniable facts that this is just not true. Like, Mealnia could have just stayed quiet as she has been doing.

NOW - Melania: "To be clear, I never had relations with Epstein or his accomplice Maxwell." "I never been friends with Epstein. Donald and I were invited to the same parties as Epstein from time to time." "Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump. I met my husband by chance."

@stustin Charlotte's point is necessary for people in the U.S. to get b/c we have a military worship problem as well as a distance problem from how service members & their families are affected. If you want to focus on the loss of Iranian civilians, do so on your own post.

@DebiVSmith So did all of the Iranian civilians who were murdered, including the children, in a pointless war. Personally, I don't give a shit about destroyed buildings, planes and tanks. Those can be rebuilt. It's the people who matter most - and who suffer most. #TrumpWarCrimes

"Don't make this observation if it's just a number to you. Every one of these service members had loved ones, friends, a life back home. ...You shouldn't be saying something like "surprisingly low" in the first place but especially when you don't know any of their names."
Charlotte Clymer 🇺🇦@cmclymer

Last week, I was at a friend's birthday gathering at a crowded bar in D.C. and I somehow wound up in conversation with a small group of people about the war in Iran. One of them fully supported the war and fully supported Trump. I politely sipped my drink and waited for the convo to move on. I didn't really want to talk about this during what was meant to be a laidback evening. But then he said this: "The death toll has been surprisingly low for our military." I asked him: "How do you mean?" "Well, we've had a small number of troops killed, less than ten." "Thirteen," I said. "Thirteen troops have been killed in combat." "Right," he said. "That's a surprisingly low number. We've had a low fatality rate." And, you know, I just couldn't let that go. I couldn't. "Surprisingly low?" He said: "Yeah, it could be much worse. We could have lost a lot more soldiers at this point." I asked him: "Can you name any of the service members who were killed?" "What?" "Thirteen service members have been killed. Do you know any of their names?" There was this long, awkward pause. And then he said: "I know some of their names have been published." I said: "All of their names have been published. The last KIA was a few weeks ago. Do you know any of their names?" Another long pause and then finally: "No, I don't." Let me offer some friendly advice for anyone like this gentleman who is tempted to say this was a "surprisingly low" number of service members killed. Don't make this observation if it's just a number to you. Every one of these service members had loved ones, friends, a life back home. Some of them had kids. Some of them had mortgages and front lawns to mow. Some of them had grills in their backyard they would have been using for parties with people they loved this summer. Now they're gone, and their families and friends are always going to feel that loss. You shouldn't be saying something like "surprisingly low" in the first place but especially when you don't know any of their names. If U.S. military fatalities are "surprisingly low," it shouldn't take you any time at all to learn their names. Friendly advice.

This isn't a "businesses aren't beholding to 1A." This is about ethics in mental health at a time when stigmas are still preventing people who need/want svcs from seeking them out & when there aren't enough providers to meet the needs. /end

If I'm not clear already, this isn't some individual action that can be ignored & let the person fade into the shadows. This is a business who punished an employee for living NASW ethics (other counseling assocs have similar) outside the office. /9

If you're going to contact Inspire Mental Health Services (as some recommend in the replies), make sure to include they fired a therapist for exemplifying one of NASW's ethical principles - challenging social injustice. /1 socialworkers.org/About/Ethics/C…
