⚡️Nice journal reference here and citation to my work on Disinfolklore. Does two things of particular value to me as a writer: 1. Is a record that I created the Portmanteau ‘Disinfolklore.’ 2. Correctly categorises ‘Disinformation’ as a particular form of ‘Disinfolklore.’ Thus giving me the whole field (which I’d be too humble to have claimed too loudly) while confining all the work focussing on Disinformation to a local province or region of my field. Prof Yolles cites my work, the result of @peterjukes visionary decision to commission for @BylineTimes an early piece on Disinfolklore in Byline Supplement. ⚡️ My Munich speech: Our Disinfolklore Universe ~ Battling Archetypes It’s appropriate to be speaking about our Disinfolklore Universe at a Pirate Party Munich Security conference event. Those who founded the Pirate Party get what I am about to speak to you about. There’s a flow between on the one hand culture, art, films, literature about pirates and geopolitical security. Those whom we entrust with securing our conditions of civilised life don’t seem to understand this. This is partly why they’re such easy marks for Russian and MAGA Disinfolklore. They get wrapped up so easily in Russian or MAGA trolls, like flies in a spider's web, it’s very hard for them even to understand they’re trapped inside Old Thinking. Today I’m going to offer a perspective on what I call our Disinfolklore Universe. And I’m also going to offer a means to escape the troll memes wrap us up inside when we fall for MAGA or Russian Disinfolklore. None of this is easy. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t have all the answers. Whenever you hear anyone talk about Disinformation or Disinfolklore as if it happens to other people. As if only stupid people fall for trolls. Whenever you hear chatter like that, be certain those people are easy marks for trolls. For MAGA and Russian Disinfolklore. Today we live in a true Disinfolklore Universe. The fabric of every dimension of our lives - work, personal relationships, life choices, fates - is infused with aspects of Druidey Don and Duncey Putin’s memetic onslaught. Our Moods/Motivations/Intentions/Attitudes are being formed by what I call ‘Disinfolklore.’ Directly – through whichever media memes we consume. Or indirectly, through our own minds and those of others, influencing us from archetypes created and evolving from Disinfolklore. @Horbyk Excellent contribution. Explains the strategic intent as EU ‘s 4th FIMI threats report just stated behind first stage of Russia’s election interference playbook: delegitimise current leadership.

⚡️Podcast | Can't Dismantle a Spell Only by Seizing the Spell Book! The EU's New Anti-Disinfo Report Sees the Plumbing. Disinfolklore Perceives the Poison. Together, @eu_eeas and Disinfolklore Got the Power to Rearchetype Our Information Space. The European Union today released its highly anticipated — well, highly anticipated by the likes of me — fourth report on threats on what it calls FIMI, which is a rather unwieldy phrase. It’s not unanalogous to Disinfolklore, but FIMI stands for Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference. The “foreign” in this context means the threat is coming from outside the European Union, which for good, understandable political reasons and constitutional and mandate reasons, the European Union of course doesn’t want to get involved in intra-European Union created Disinfolklore or disinformation. The fourth report which came out today — I just wanted to talk about it in the context of the Disinfolklore analytical method. I’ve talked before about the three previous reports. The first report was published three years ago and it provided a brand new analytical framework and common language through which European Union and non-European Union states could speak about the threat to their national security which Russia, China, and indeed Iran — those three are the main foreign forces that these reports are dealing with — pose. It provided a common framework and a common language to talk about something which was new. From outside of the structure, the word “disinformation” was really operationalised from inside Russia. We have evidence from KGB manuals from the 1960s and 1970s of them using the term disinformation. Therefore, if you’re trying to solve a problem or talk about a problem or come up with tools to deal with a problem that has been created by the Russians, then if you subject yourselves to using the vocabulary and language and tools which the Russians themselves have forged, there is only a limited area for you to operate within. By contrast, if — as I have done with Disinfolklore — you invent a new portmanteau and you elaborate a whole set and analytical method, as I have done through the Twelve Tool Way on disinfolklore.eu, and through my writings, which many of you have been thankfully reading and interacting with since I created the portmanteau in February 2023 — but after thinking and thinking about what Disinfolklore means as an analytical method and also as a narrative form that I first noticed in Russia-occupied Ukraine between 2015 and 2018. It’s now ten years I’ve been thinking and elaborating and writing about this problem, but I’ve only had the term Disinfolklore for the past three years. It was quite liberating to come up with this word. I had from time to time tried to look for a new language in new terms because I recognised from early on in 2015 that what I was witnessing inside Russia-occupied Luhansk was something new and therefore it required a new vocabulary to describe the whole system of information fields, matrices, thick enmeshing matrices — the kind which we’re now experiencing, for instance, in relation to this Iran war. The Colonisation of Thought Even people who haven’t paid much attention to MAGA and who have no idea really of QAnon and what MAGA has been doing since 2015 to create this enmeshing, identity-creating mess inside people’s minds — now, if you are contemplating whether to fill your car with petrol or diesel, or you’re thinking, gosh, am I going to have gas? All the gas in my country comes from Qatar and they’re not going to be able to get this gas to the island of Britain or wherever else you might live. Where am I going to get my hot water? How am I going to drive my factory? That kind of colonisation of our thoughts is a direct line from Donald’s — on the one hand, the war is over; on the other hand, I’m having fun, I’m blowing things up… disinfolklore.net/p/podcast-cant…

We keep saying that Russia is returning to the USSR, but older Russians who remember the Soviet era say it’s much worse! The following comes from 80-year-old Nikolay Travkin, a former Soviet/Russian politician: “All of this existed in the USSR too. Censorship, bans on anything not approved from above, organized condemnation of dissenters in work collectives, and “psychiatric hospitals.” It was all there… but not as ornate, aggressive, or even ceremonious as it is now. The Speaker of the Duma proudly reports dozens of new restrictive laws that make life harder for voters. Informers are presented as models of patriotism and examples for children and youth. State propagandists seem to have lost all restraint in claiming that black is white, and vice versa. Turning on the TV is dangerous — spittle, inciting hatred toward those “who are not with us,” literally flies through the screen. Apathy and despair overwhelm even optimists. Among doctors, psychiatrists have become the most in-demand, and there’s a severe shortage of them…”

⚡️Bomb Iran blowback. Same people told you Ukraine would collapse after two days. Now are opining Iran’s powerless to bring war onto our streets. Iran aided by Russia and China will fight like Ukraine. In the guise of violent drone-armed pro-Palestine so-called ‘peace’ activists. Read my Mutually Assured Destruction in the Drone War Era to understand how Iran and Russia and China been conducting war in Ukraine: that’s coming to America and England now: x.com/decodingtrolls… Iran and Russia and China will activate their idealist “peace protester” network in America. Soon you won’t be able to distinguish genuine pro-peace, genuine pro-Palestine from Iranian and Russian and China-controlled agents provocateurs. Russia’s Tekegram and China’s TikTok which Donald was trolled into continuing to allow will stir tumult in America among the so-called left. Meanwhile Russia, Iran and China’s knowing and unknowing assets in the American far-right (MAGA, influence networks, evangelical Christians, anti-immigrant J6ers) will be provoked into attacking each other and the so-called idealist “pro-peace” and “pro-Palestine” students, proxies counter cultists. Everyone will be disoriented as Donald continues to jail and deport to concentration camps thousands of “homegrowns.” Russia in its death throes in Ukraine will have one last throw at the dice - causing civil war on America’s streets as well as Englands. Just as Russian information warfare assets after its Oct 7 joint invasion of Israel caused havoc on campuses. Idealists will be spurred into dropping drone bombs inside America on American towns. Those who haven’t been following Russia’s War Against Humanity in Kherson since summer 2023 may be excused for not seeing what Donald’s war will reap: Kherson is the future of every American city: x.com/decodingtrolls… A year after its retreat from Kherson, Russia launched its Crime Against Humanity drone warfare campaign targeting civilians, hospitals, humans, animals with first person view drones. How ripe is American society, divided with every Donald tweet, for such a campaign, organised through various fictions by Russia, Iran and China?! The illusion of a quick victory is how EVERY war ever began. Iran aided by Russia and China will fight like Ukraine.

Everyone is covering the force majeure. Everyone is covering the 13 million tonnes. Everyone is covering the gas prices and the geopolitics and the five-year timeline. My good friend Veron Wickramasinghe just asked the question nobody else is asking: how do you rebuild when the machines that make the molecules take three to four years to manufacture, ship through a closed strait, and commission in a war zone? Read what he found. Every LNG train at Ras Laffan requires high-purity nitrogen from Air Separation Units: cryogenic plants cooling air to minus 190 degrees to distil it into component gases. Pearl GTL needs 30,000 tonnes per day of pure oxygen from eight Linde-built ASUs. Each cold box: 470 tonnes, 60 metres tall. Lead time from contract to commissioning: three to four years. If destroyed, replacement arrives no earlier than 2029. But here is the choke point that Veron identified that nobody else has. The heart of every cryogenic ASU is a brazed aluminium plate-fin heat exchanger called a BAHX. These exchangers operate with temperature differentials of one to two Kelvin and require precision brazing in vacuum furnaces. Only five companies on Earth are qualified to manufacture them. Five. For every cryogenic heat exchanger in every air separation unit, every LNG train, every industrial gas facility, and every hydrogen plant on the planet. Fives Cryo in France. Kobelco in Japan. Linde in Germany. Sumitomo in Japan. Chart Industries in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Current lead times: 12 to 18 months or more. And their order books are already full. Veron was honest about what is confirmed and what is not. QatarEnergy CEO al-Kaabi confirmed LNG Trains 4 and 6 are damaged: 12.8 Mtpa offline, 3 to 5 year repairs, $20 billion annual revenue loss, force majeure up to 5 years. Shell confirmed Pearl GTL Unit 2 needs roughly one year of repair. What has NOT been confirmed is whether the ASUs themselves were destroyed. Shell’s one-year timeline is inconsistent with total ASU loss, which would require four to five years. Veron flagged this honestly and gave you the analysis both ways. And then he showed you the cascade nobody else sees. Qatar produces one-third of the world’s helium from the same facility. Helium is irreplaceable in semiconductor fabrication: cooling wafers, purging chambers, detecting leaks. Samsung and SK Hynix import 64.7 percent of their helium from Qatar. Spot prices have doubled. Liquid helium vaporises within 35 to 48 days. Fourteen percent of capacity is permanently damaged. The LNG trains, the ASUs, and the helium plants all sit on the same rock, fed by the same gas field, accessed through the same strait. One set of missile strikes on March 18 to 19 took out 17 percent of global LNG, threatened one-third of global helium, and exposed a supply chain that runs through five workshops in Germany, France, Japan, Italy, and Wisconsin with three-year lead times and full order books. This is what Veron understood that the headline analysts missed: the recovery is not constrained by money or political will. It is constrained by vacuum furnaces, aluminium metallurgy, and the physics of brazing at tolerances measured in single-digit Kelvin. You cannot accelerate physics. You cannot surge-produce a 470-tonne cold box. You cannot commission cryogenic equipment in a war zone. Five companies. Five workshops. Three-year lead times. Full order books. A closed strait. An active war. That is not a recovery timeline. That is a sentence. Read Veron’s full analysis. It is the most important thing written about this war that does not involve a missile.

⚡️Paradoxes Disinfolklore systems are structurally paradoxical. They require populations to believe opposites simultaneously: that a ban makes you freer; that Russia is both invincible and victimised; that Trump is both a strong man and a persecuted outsider; that vaccines cause the disease they prevent. These paradoxes are not bugs — they are features. Yet they also contain the seeds of the system’s destruction: the contradictions in Ruschist Disinfolklore will eventually jam up Ruschism itself. “We Will Believe Opposites” Again, it’s so absurd. There is this strange effect in our brains that we will believe opposites / paradoxes if there’s some sort of similarity in it. I had been trying to understand the pattern that I had already noticed in data: that the more opposite the truth is, the more likely certain minds will believe something. How the Russians achieve this! Donald and MAGA do it as well. Where the completely anti-intuitive thing like it’s the vaccines cause the harm, not the virus take hold of our minds. This is the Law of Similarity from Cultural Psychology / Sympathetic Magic: if two things share a surface resemblance (virus/vaccine), cause and effect can be reversed in the mind. The paradox is the mechanism, not a flaw. War Magic exploits these cognitive vulnerabilities. disinfolklore.eu/Disinfolklore/…

Elena Mizulina, one of the most prominent faces of conservatism under Putin, on the isolation of the Russian internet (runet) from the rest of the world: “A ban is precisely the greatest freedom of a person. You are constantly being told: your representatives are always forbidding you from doing things. This is a lie, a misleading and mistaken view. A ban can only exist when a person is free. Because he says “this isn’t allowed, but everything else is as you wish. You are free to choose.” And what are rights? Rights are exactly the greatest unfreedom. I can tell you that the more rights we have, the less free we are.” I always thought Orwell was just too on the nose blatant to be believable, that actual propaganda wouldn’t be that stupid. But I was wrong.

⚡️Trump Indicted for One Mistake: Ancient Indo-European texts from Ireland, Iran, India and elsewhere coalesce around one eternal truth: The primary quality Indo-European sovereigns MUST adhere to is telling the truth. Putin, Boris Johnson, and now Trump have lost everything because of lying. UK's house of Commons found Johnson had lied, and he resigned because of this finding. Now in Trump Jan 6th insurrection indictment, paragraph 2: "...for more than two months following election day on November 3, 2020, the Defendant spread lies that there had been outcome-determinative fraud in the election and that he had actually won. These claims were false, and the Defendant knew that they were false. But the Defendant repeated and widely disseminated them anyway—to make his knowingly false claims appear legitimate, create an intense national atmosphere of mistrust and anger, and erode public faith in the administration of the election..." Paragraph 4: "...Each of these conspiracies—which built on the widespread mistrust the Defendant was creating through pervasive and destabilizing lies about election fraud..." In the ancient Indian text known as the Mahabharata the Sovereign who would become Indian culture's Lord of Death had ruled entirely justly. After death, though, Indra trolls him into a mental boast about how he the king had ruled more justly than any other king. For that prideful lie the dead king was immediately expelled from heaven. In Iran's ancient Avesta it is said of the future Lord of Death Yima (who corresponds to Odin in Germanic cultures - for whom our Wednesday is named): "For a long time Yima holds the 'sovereign empire over all the lands,' and his reign, of untold prosperity, is protected by the *x'aranah, that mark of divine election which guarantees and expresses the legitimacy of a king. But one day he commits a sin. According to the single passage that mentions it in the remaining Avesta, the sin is lying: his extraordinary prosperity, Yast 19,33 says emphatically, lasted until 'he lied,' until he 'began to think the lying word, contrary to truth.'" In ancient Ireland's earliest texts not only will a lying 🤥 monarch come a cropper, their entire kingdom will become a Waste Land of pestilence, starvation, and invasion. This is the origin of the Waste Land motif in Indo-European literature, which found its most known manifestations in Eliot as well as in the Grail literature. Disinfolklore.net which Putin, Trump, Johnson (and all of England's recent unelected Brexit leaders) traffic in is concerned with lies. Etymologically "truth" corresponds to what "is. That which exists, is positive and not illusory." "Rtá" is opposed to "drúh" in the ancient Indian Vedic language. "Arta" is opposed to "druj" in the ancient Iranian Avestan language. The idea and form of the signifier "Art" as that which is created which reveals truth stems from this. In the language of Darius's inscriptions, drauga, the "lie," is essentially the attitude of rebels, of usurpers or potential usurpers who deceive the people by pretending to he "king" in place of Darius himself (Darius I (522–486 bce) founded the Achmenaid Empire that ruled Judea, Greece, and other lands for 300 years). The second of the six criteria by which we can determine if trolling is positive, negative or neutral is "ethical discipline." Lies violate this criterion. Trump, Johnson and Putin are Negative trolls. And because of this, they will lose everything. By holding Trump to account America can avoid becoming a Waste Land. Ukraine is turning Russia into a Waste Land. Meanwhile afflicted by Brexit lies and pestilence England's refusal to hold its lying leaders to account in the courts is turning England into a Waste Land. England needs to follow the lead of its erstwhile colony America and face up to this truth.

️⚡️Lying-Pride is the single sin of the authoritarian. Every Putin or populist speech you'll hear flickers between these two modes: Lies & Pride. Lying-Pride violates Indo-European vision for a healthy society: A head of state is charged with: (1) Protecting an order founded on Truth, through supporting truthful rule (*Reg Right Pravyi) (Disinfolklore lies and masks the lies of a Sovereign undermining the order through lying and hacking the consent of subjects in a democracy: decodingtrolls.substack.com/p/whats-right-…); and (2) Ruling with due regard to the superior sovereignty of International Law. Since WWII's aftermath (to prevent a repeat of German Nazi crimes from 1932 onwards) domestic sovereignty is subject to universally applicable laws enshrined in Geneva, Genocide Conventions, et al. Beware Anti-Woke, Anti-trans, Anti-Ukraine campaigns. These are all instruments for returning our civilisation to the social, legal, and political realities of 1930s Germany. The sin of pride is committed when sovereigns think they can forcibly transfer three-hundred-thousand Ukrainian children into Ruschia in violation of International Law, during a war of aggression they started. Disinfolklore embeds lies and covers up the lies of leaders. Populations which surrender themselves to governments which use Disinfolklore to conceal their lies suffer calamities. Ukraine's ongoing Revolution of Dignity prevented greater calamities even than what Ukraine is experiencing today. Ukraine's resistance is an example of a people, led by a rightful sovereign, who are resisting the hacking of their sovereignty by Russia. In Brexit England, the food supply & prosperity is affected by lies used to secure Brexit. In Russia the calamities afflicting it will last decades after Ukraine (Russia's victim accord to Intl Law and three UN General Assembly resolutions in which only six states voted with Russia) is as rich as Solomon. Disinfolklore worked for Russia while between 2014-2022 it prepared the ground for genocide by inventing the "Ukrainian Nazi" figure to deter support for Ukraine. Now, the world understands the only Nazis in Ukraine are Ruschist Nazis.

⚡️Donald’s Crimes Against the Truth a Prince MUST Manifest. Numerous scholars of ancient Irish, Indian, and Iranian texts have established that the sovereignty, security and fertility/prosperity of Indo-European states depends on the Truth of the Sovereign. Myles Dillon put it like this in 1948: “For it is the prince's falsehood that brings perverse weather upon wicked peoples and dries up the fruit of the earth. Testament of Morand (8th c Irish text) Here the legendary jurist Morand, who was supposed to have lived in the time of King Conchobar (first century B.C.), sends a messenger to Feradach Find Fechtnach with his Instructions for a Prince, and the tone is not far removed from that of the Upanishads: "Let him magnify Truth, it will magnify him. Let him strengthen Truth, it will strengthen him. Let him preserve Truth, it will preserve him. Let him exalt Truth, it will exalt him. For so long as he preserves Truth, good will not be lacking to him, and his reign will not fail. For by the Prince's Truth great kingdoms are ruled. By the Prince's Truth great mortality is warded off from men. By the Prince's Truth the great armies are driven off into the enemies' country..." This series is continued, eighteen propositions in all, and the seventeenth declares: "By the Prince's Truth fair weather comes in each fitting season, winter fine and frosty, spring dry and windy, summer warm, with showers of rain, autumn with heavy dews, and fruitful. For it is the prince's falsehood that brings perverse weather upon wicked peoples and dries up the fruit of the earth." The US government’s case against Donald published yesterday: “Following election day and throughout the charged conspiracies, the defendant, his co-conspirators, and their agents spread lies that there had been outcome-determinative fraud in the election and that he had actually won. These lies included dozens of specific claims that there had been substantial fraud in certain states, such as that large numbers of dead, non-resident, non-citizen, or otherwise ineligible voters had cast ballots, or that voting machines had changed votes for the defendant to votes for Biden. And the defendant and co-conspirators continued to make these unsupported, objectively unreasonable, and ever-changing claims even after they had been publicly disproven or after advisors had directly informed the defendant that they were untrue.” “What’s the Power of Mana Podcast?” Mana, Woden, Nous, Holy Spirit, Prana, Ch’i, Ki, Libido, Mungo, Synchronicity, Anima Mundi, Orenda, Manitu, Wong, Tondi, … are all manifestations of the same phenomenon. In Indo-European cultures, M-N- is THE characteristic sound. It’s THE fundamental cryptotypic signifying system underpinning the meanings of the metaphorical networks that allow us to communicate through sounds, gestures, images and written signs… Listen at: substack.com/home/post/p-14… “What’s the Power of Mana Podcast?” is also available on Spotify and Apple Podcast platforms.

7/ By contrast, Ukraine shows the opposite dynamic: legitimacy grounded in affirmative expectations - dignity, rights, accountability. The current war is also a conflict between these two logics.

3/ But what if a regime “doesn’t need to be liked at all”? What if it becomes stable precisely because people expect it to be corrupt, coercive, and self-serving?
