this is the podcast interview where john william's talked about using a re-tooled kylo ren theme in tros instead of a new full theme for Ben's character we need #thehuntforbensolo so john williams can get the chance to write more music for Ben (and a reylo love theme)

@EricVespe @MarienneMaid I feel like that question could be answered in so many different ways and it's why fans have been hoping to get to see a story like that play out. There's so much more opportunity for nuance and character driven conflict

I’ve talked about this on The Kingcast a bit, but I’d be totally down for a little retcon to get this take. Nobody else knows Ben Solo came back and helped right some of his wrongs. What does his path to redemption look like in a galaxy that hates him?

@feralreynobody We're not lobbying for a creative universe to be stopped and overwritten. We're just passionately campaigning for a project that could have helped revive that Era and led to more project opportunities.

@feralreynobody Also this is a different situation. The the Sn*der stuff, the studio had pivoted and released content starting a new cinematic universe. SW exists in its own, and until a ST era project comes out that addresses what happened to Ben or that he never returned its still possible

catching up on all the shit that was released about THBS yesterday and oh my god it just gets worse and worse. IT WAS READY FOR PRODUCTION and Iucasfilm loved it and was ready to go unbelievable

@Venshayde @WCWFwrestling01 Would this not be the same reason why Mauls double saber was popular in the early 2000s before he could come back and have his story told which created more of his fan base? This seems like the same type of opportunity to build more character out of someone with potential.

@Delta__IV @WCWFwrestling01 I GUARANTEE you that the only reason he has a high MERCH score is because the crossguard lightsaber is a novelty thing. It's the only lightsaber that looks like that. I love Adam Driver but this argument is conflating why people would buy things with Kylo Ren's name on it.

As if people wouldn't want to see him do more stuff like this in #TheHuntForBenSolo Also throwback... "I Need a Hero" edits were such a fun time post TROS
