One of my viewers contacted PlayStation support about the 30 day DRM update for PS4/PS5 games.
The response they got makes it sound like this is not a mistake or "bug" and is intentional.
They describe it as a "technical feature".
Sony still hasn't officially responded yet.

I want to clear this up directly and quickly and for the last time. I used DS4Windows strictly for controller tuning—deadzones, anti-deadzones, and response curves to improve how my sticks felt. I never used scripts, macros, or any kind of automation. The profiles themselves weren’t cheating and didn’t generate or modify inputs—they only adjusted controller responsiveness. I do understand how the profile name could’ve been taken the wrong way, especially given how similar wording is used in actual cheating setups. My Call of Duty: Warzone account is in good standing with no bans or flags, and I’ve always been open to every monitor cam and PC check I’ve been asked to do. I’ve also removed everything related to DS4Windows so there’s no confusion moving forward. I take competing seriously and would never risk that by using cheats. This situation came from how it looked, not from what I was actually doing. I’ll keep competing, stay transparent, and let my gameplay speak for itself.
