Am I a car guy? I'm a Toyota guy and have been for years. But once upon a time... I purchased a 1954 Silver Dawn Rolls Royce from our family doctor in Saskatoon, Dr. Brandt, who brought it over from Scotland. It was a right hand drive and the same model used on the album cover Delaney & Bonnie live w/ Bob Dylan's feet hanging out (their music was incredible, btw). One of my first major purchases once the music got rolling. It turned out to be too impractical to park in town and it was just too showy for my taste but I loved it for a while until I sold it. So in the Gospel of John today, when Jesus rose from the dead, it was John who ran fastest to the tomb, not in fear, but instead in faith. Easter is always a tremendous reminder for me, not only in the fact that Christ is Risen, but the vigorous faith that John showed when it would have been very easy for him to fear. Despite the Challenges of my life I will always choose my faith over my fear. Thank you Mom and Dad for my name and most importantly, my faith. Hallelujah!
