@DerwentHarris @GardnerThe99 @AndySaunders_1 @NASA @astro_reid You assume poster said "same way" referring to shortness of event? Well I don't.
Every event where one celestial body occludes another for me, is an eclipse, no matter shortness or amazingness of the experience.

@mistressdivy Only if the challenge is worthy and not some shit a 3 year old would ask.
Most women fail this.
English

@Jesii_ca_M Some people posit that it is light that bends due to gravity.
If that was true then the Voyager missions would have been unsuccessful because they used a planet's mass to slingshot the probes and they used size to calculate mass, higher mass should make a planet look smaller.
English

@Sarah_Alice_X It should be called a potato biscuit.
"Scallop"? What the fuck is wrong with you?!
English

That's a fucking scallop, how many times do we need to have this conversation 😤
Avspook 👻@avspook
World’s biggest Potato cake …

@GarbageHuman24 They think YOU are retarded because you post shit like this.

BREAKING: Artemis II crew captures new photo of Earth.
English

@tvirter @GardnerThe99 @AndySaunders_1 @NASA @astro_reid The moon's diameter is 400 times smaller than the sun's but it is also 400 times closer to the Earth, solar eclipses are amazing and short because of that.
Earth is way bigger than the moon so you would not experience the same event if you were closer or the same distance.
English

@DerwentHarris @GardnerThe99 @AndySaunders_1 @NASA @astro_reid From spacecraft's point of view, yes.
English

@FemaCampInmate1 @LlaveAlMisterio You can actually see the clouds over the Amazon look different to the oceanic clouds over the Atlantic.
English

@DerwentHarris @LlaveAlMisterio Why is it all alone?

@6NeverQuits @lendasdoasfalto In Europe they actually enforce the law to stay out of the fast lane.
The law says you can't overtake someone on the right on a motorway (at least that's the law in Spain, the only other country I have driven in), not sure if that's why it was bad there as well.
English

@DerwentHarris @lendasdoasfalto Same in the US. It must be a world wide epidemic.
English

@BillSPreston11 It's only 68 km difference around the equator compared to pole-to-pole, that's 99.83% of the equator's circumference. You wouldn't see the difference.
A standard billiard ball has a circumference of 179.6 mm with a tolerance of 97.78%. The Earth is rounder than a billiard ball.
English

It’s an honest to God shame that people just blindly see this and accept it as reality. Then go to battle with it as their weapon of truth.
At least question why you’re told it’s an oblate spheroid (wider at the equator than north and south) and yet it’s shown as a circle.
Buzz Patterson@BuzzPatterson
It’s round, gang.
English

I'm pretty sure the earth and moon will be moving over the 10 days. I'm hoping the NASA scientists built that into their plan. This model where the moon stays still and waits for us doesn't seem very realistic.
NASA@NASA
It’s not a straight shot to the far side of the Moon! 🌕 Over approximately 10 days, the Artemis II astronauts will orbit Earth twice before looping around the far side of the Moon in a figure eight and returning home.

@EricHar82699093 @LangmanVince Why are you people so confident in your own stupidity?
The fact that this triggers you is hilarious!

English

@DerwentHarris @LangmanVince 105 follower BOT taken charge and BOT bragging lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣😀
English

@slave_2_liberty "I'm not a flat-Earther but..."
Bullshit. Only you people are stupid enough to think Africa is Australia.
I rotated it for your non-rotating brain.

English

I'm not a flat earther but
The size of Australia in the recent picture of Earth from the Artemis to rocket
does not match the Google maps ball which does fit all the continents and is very accurate when it comes to proportion.
Fox News@FoxNews
🚀NEW: Breathtaking images of Earth just released by NASA. 🌎️ Artemis II astronaut commander Reid Wiseman captured these photos showing aerial views of Earth from inside the Orion capsule.
English

@EricHar82699093 @LangmanVince Oh dear, I've awoken another retard.
English

@RealEmirHan LOL so that's what happens these days with our movies? Being trolled by writers and them laughing their arses off because the studio didn't read the screenplay!
Or maybe they were always pozzed and Weinstein was the only good guy in Hollywood.
English

@EricHar82699093 @LangmanVince That's because they are the size of a car, not the size of a city that the 2nd picture's scale implies.
English

@LangmanVince And not ONE single satellite out of OVER 11,000 satellites captured in this picture? 🤔

English

@LangmanVince One is a photo of the Earth lit up by the sun, the other is a long-exposure photo of the Earth at night (see the city lights in Spain?).
That bit that says "REMASTERED" is also hilarious!
English

@maximrudin Yeah they did, it was a camera on a boom arm.
