Operation Meghdoot, the Indian army operation to capture Siachen, began on April 13, 1984. The date was choosen by Brig Vijay Channa, as it was Baisakhi, and Pakistanis were under the belief, that Indian Army would not launch any operation on that day. Israel actually used the same tactic at Entebbe, when they launched it on Sabbath, a day when its a complete period of rest for them, tricked the Arab hijackers into believing, they would not act on that date. Lt.Gen. Prem Nath Hoon, GOC, 15 Corp, in Srinagar,led Operation Meghdoot on Siachen, on April 13,1984. Indian Air Force began the airlift of troops and supplies through the aircraft Il-76, An-12 and An-32 to the high altitude airfields. At 5:30 AM, the first Cheetah helicopter took off carrying Capt Sanjay Kulkarni, by noon, 17 such sorties were undertaken and 29 soldiers were airdropped at Billafond La. Mi-7,8 and HAL Chetak helicopters were used to transport the troops to the eastern part of Siachen.

Knowledge of history to prevent mass conversion. Meenakshipuram is a village in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu, India. The scheduled caste members in the village were segregated by the other castes. In 1981, Meenakshipuram stunned the nation when over 300 dalit families in the village converted to Islam on a single day. The families came together the next day to build a mosque. The dalits here are from the Pallar community, while the upper castes are the Thevars. Though they hold the same economic status, the Thevars do not accept Pallars as their equals. Prime Minister #IndiraGandhi was reportedly unhappy, and Home Minister Zail Singh questioned if "a conspiracy or political motivation" was involved in these conversions. It was during the AIADMK government led by M G Ramachandran that the Meenakshipuram conversion took place. The then Tamil Nadu Government formed the Justice Venugopal Inquiry Commission to probe the Meenakshipuram conversions. It had also been reported that one Ayyappan, a resident of Meenakshipuram, said that he had declined an offer of Rs. 500 in cash to convince him to renounce his faith. The Arya Samaj had set up a mandapam and a school building in the hamlet in 1981, soon after the mass conversions, and reconverted some Hindus(#GharWapasi). After nearly 15 years, #Jayalalithaa, as Chief Minister, enacted the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Forcible Conversion of Religion Act in 2002, banning all religious conversions by force, deceit or allurement. In 1991, a decade later, 900 out of 1,100 converts returned to Hinduism, citing the lack of fulfillment of promises made during the conversions. In order to achieve Hindu unity, people of all castes must be treated equally with dignity.

Slavery began in large form soon after humans first began to settle into collective organized groups large enough to be called what we could call towns (this refers to the number of people involved not the sophistication of the buildings). However scholars state that slaves probably existed in small numbers even before this. This occured absolutely everywhere on earth, later vast numbers were taken by Arabs, where extremely large numbers died as many of them were required for Hareems (Islamic designated areas for Women only) where the males had to be eunuchs so they did not interfere with the Arab women. The Arab slave traders cut off the genitals with knives and the ones still alive once they`d walked over the desert to the ships were taken away. The huge attrition rate was irrelevant as the price paid for Eunuchs was enough to offset those who bled to death in the sand for whom very little had been paid. So they simply took far more than were needed, knowing that the final price was worth it, and was far less effort than looking after those medically who had been mutilated. Some alternatively had their genitals cut off in designated rooms at the ports, and were simply thrown overboard when they died. When Europeans arrived, they didnt even have to travel inland or "take" slaves, as they simply contacted the african warlords who were already selling slaves from local rival tribes, the Europeans were merely the latest buyers to arrive. Britain began stopping the trade with the The Slave Trade Act of 1807. Later the British Slavery Abolition Act of 1833 represented the FIRST legislative act in the world, which not only began the process of banning the internal use of slaves, AND the trade, but also included active external use of military force to STOP the practise elsewhere. The British expended significant military effort stopping the trade, and then eventually bought the freedom of the slaves in our lands, at immense cost in 1833, the loan was only paid off in 2015. The British nation at the time spent the about 2% GDP for a considerable time on stopping slavery. About three thousand Royal Navy personell were involved in this interdiction effort. We do not know exactly how many black Africans over time were enslaved by other black Africans for use internally within Africa, but we know it was utterly endemic to the societies there, and was was vast in scope.
