Bonapartes Gull - Blaxton Meadow - possibly the first one actually seen on Blaxton Meadow - great find by Stuart G- and 38 years ago to the month that @DickFilby found Devon’s first modern day record alongside the Ross’s Gull !

One for the Larophiles 🥱 Think Gull man Martin E was far more excited than I was. The Snowy capped, Cayenne & Cabots Terns far more interesting .. Anyway Olrogs Gull ....Montevideo, 🇺🇾🇺🇾🇺🇾 Uruguay

Just spent 4 nights in the Andes east of Santiago, based in Farellones, a ski resort town. Great birding & nobody around. One of the highlights has been getting great views of Crag Chilia a central Chile endemic.

After 4 amazing years and more birds than I could ever have hoped for, I have now graduated from Durham University with a First Class degree. Living and birding in County Durham has been amazing, and I can’t recommend the area enough. Onwards and upwards, but I will be back.

@BritishBirder @JLowenWildlife Waxham to Walnut Farm 4hrs on Sunday: 3 Chiffchaffs, 1 Woodcock was best, plus a few thrushes, but surprisingly no geese, and almost no larks or pipits

The end of autumn is approaching, so I had an 8-hour thrash between Horsey Village and Waxham pipe dump. Waxham Sands was the best place with Yellow-browed Warbler, 3 Chiffchaffs, and 2 Blackcaps, plus a good smattering of migrant Song Thrushes and Redwing along the coast.
