Next week at IEEE Security & Privacy, our own Aviv Frenkel, will present our new research paper on a flaw in TON’s ADNL-TCP layer. Here's a quick snippet of what was found:
1️⃣Keystream reuse made ADNL vulnerable to a replay “two-time-pad” attack.
2️⃣A MITM could deanonymize users or spoof wallet balances
3️⃣Disclosed via TON’s bug-bounty and patched fast—credit to TON for their professionalism

🚨 What Went Wrong in Bybit’s $1.1B Hack? 🚨
If you haven’t heard already, attackers tricked signers into approving a malicious contract upgrade, gaining full control of the wallet.
Here’s what made it possible:
🔴 Verification gap – Hardware wallets couldn’t verify complex contract changes.
🔴 No admin safeguards – Contract upgrades weren’t treated as high-risk actions.
At Fordefi, we address these risks with multi-factor approvals, role-based policies, and secure admin workflows.
