The Parliamentary Committee for the Environment and Sustainable Development invited members of my cabinet to testify, and as the Premier of Alberta I will be attending on our province’s behalf. Canada and Alberta are united in our pursuit of carbon neutrality by 2050; however, we disagree with Ottawa’s 2035 timeline that will increase the price of electricity and reduce reliability to 🇨🇦 Canadian homes and businesses. I welcome the opportunity to share share Alberta’s position at this Committee hearing.
