A 3D printer at @SouthTees is helping visually impaired children to communicate. For children who are unlikely to ever develop spoken language due to complex needs, printed symbols are providing a way for them to communicate a message. Read more: southtees.nhs.uk/news/hospitals…

Great day in the Digital Skills Lab @SouthTees . Working with Jim McVie @SouthTeesOrtho , Tony Alton @jcuh_cms to trial a complex elbow replacement in a 3D printed patient bone. Saved the #nhs £££ by proving that we can use a generic off the shelf implant instead of custom made.
