In the middle of a teacher shortage, Oklahoma City Public schools fired six talented teachers because they wouldn't follow an illegal order. These are the types of misguided decisions that are leaving many parents across the country so frustrated with their local schools!

@Nothingman58 @DocFo It’s really not. Just curious, which of the concepts do you think SHOULD be taught in the classroom? And which ones should be taught when the pendulum swings in the other direction?

@KevinWestOKRep @Nothingman58 Eventually, you'll understand the term "dysconscious racism" - which is that racism carried forth by people who aren't even aware they are being racist, such as children who perpetuate race-based mascots by wearing stereotypes on their uniforms. Mascots are race-based education.

@DocFo You obviously have not read the bill, don’t rely on news articles and headlines. The bill clearly states “No teacher, administrator, or other employee of a school district, charter school or virtual charter school shall require or make part of a course the following concepts:”

@KevinWestOKRep I have read every line of the bill. If a mascot image is present in a classroom it is being endorsed by the teacher and therefore being taught as a concept. This is a great development and teaching tool for ridding public schools of tax supported racism. Already going national.

@KevinWestOKRep But that is not what the text says, sir. Thank you for leading the fight against Native American mascots. If racist mascots are present that is endorsing them through education. Therefore, the educational system is teaching that stereotyping is ok, therefore, illegal! Way to go!

@DocFo Wrong!! The bill addresses concepts (intended purposes) that will not be taught, not actions or mascots. Reading comprehension, it’s really not a complicated bill.
