The most haunting aspect of Deep Space Nine is when they show you glimpses of Terok Nor in the past and you have to sit there with the knowledge that the space station all the characters now call home was once full of the mass slavery and rape of Bajorans

@johnkloess @cerisehaleth We needed this scene as a bookend to the first scene of the film. You can argue about whether it was too sweet or not (I loved it,) but Grace is first, last and always a teacher.

These losers at @Decurion care more about about a tax break than opening the Dome back up to the community.
They’re happy to leave it destitute for 6 years, yet have no problem threatening legal action within HOURS of somebody projecting onto the building and protesting.

My dad tells me stories about spending summers while he was in med school surfing in LA in the late 60s. The freeways were brand new and wide open, no rush hour, ever. Cheap apartment by the beach $30 a month.

Los Angeles in the 70s looked like this. It still did into the nineties.

Pan. Sweet and low.
And the BEST bacon to use is a little more expensive, but with so little splatter, because there's no water added like commercial bacons at the grocery store. You get more bacn.
We order Burgers pecan smoked (shipping is included which is really nice), but Nueskes and other brands like that are fantastic.
