The most fitting, just and *effective* consequence for dangerous drivers would be loss of license and vehicle. A dangerous driver forced to navigate the world on foot will very quickly, clearly understand their error. The current approach is“Killing someone is punishment enough.”


On Thursday night, I was hit by a car in a crosswalk while walking along 35th Ave in Jackson Heights. I was badly bruised and broke my arm. Others are not as fortunate and never make it back home. Too many families never see their loved ones again.
