Human-level general intelligence is achieved when an AI system can approach a new task and figure it out, without human intervention, *with the same learning efficiency as humans*. If every new task requires human intervention, it's not general. If every new task requires brute-forcing, it's not human-level.


Maybe I'm just ignorant, but despite looking, I've still never found a true example of a word/idea that cannot be translated into English. The English version may take multiple words, or even a sentence. It may lose its poetry. But it can be translated all the same.





I wish this was contextualized with something like "At each 10%ile of reading ability, here's a test question we'd expect half of respondents to get wrong." Apparently average reading ability is 7th-8th grade, but more than half of of adults have attended college?







@MaMoMVPY Well, Lars, I INVENTED THE TERM and I say we have achieved AGI. Current models perform at roughly high-human level in command of language and general knowledge, but work thousands of times faster than us. Still some major deficiencies remain but they're falling fast.
