@maybejari @afoxdesign And it would've absolutely destroyed tracking performance, because B/W cameras are much better fit for tracking. Plus the snapdragon 8 gen3 is much better suited for raw performance, not for video encode/decode as the usual XR chips on other headsets with color passthrough.

@afoxdesign The passthrough cameras are also monochrome and upgrading those to rgb would have been cheap for the mass producing yet they didn’t do that either.

The optional ergonomic kit (hand straps & top strap) for Steam Frame looks essential ..so much so that you could argue it should be included with every headset
