The new trend in government (both Republican and Democrat) is pushing blatantly unconstitutional policies, knowing they’ll get away with it for years until the Supreme Court finally steps in. The only real way to stop it is accountability: if a law or policy is ruled unconstitutional, anyone who voted for it or implemented it should be immediately removed from office and barred from holding office again. They’re all sworn to defend and uphold the Constitution. This shouldn’t even be controversial.

They rushed it through with mostly Democrat votes. The plan has 222 votes. It needs 270 to actually start working. Once it does, your vote in Virginia doesn’t matter anymore.
The Founders made the Electoral College so a few big cities don’t boss the whole country. This is a sneaky Democrat power grab to cheat that.

We're not a democracy. We're a constitutional Republic. The founding fathers had a disdain for mob rule and allowing the cities to vote for rural regions so they came up with this system to prevent that from happening. If you don't like that, that's cool. Then admit you don't like the foundational principles this country was founded on and change it the legal way and honestly.

I just feel bad cause that man is dead and people still shitting on him. "Coward, weak, shame" all from people that never met that man. Never knew the despair he lived with. I'm not asking people to celebrate it, just to understand he's gone now. Kicking the corpse accomplishes nothing imo. Doesn't ease anyone's pain, doesn't give those kids their dad back. Just makes a random person on the internet feel validated and morally superior.

I can’t imagine why this has to be answered again, but here goes. Because there are Islamic scholars who professionally use the library. Muslims pray five times a day on a very strict schedule. They do not just pray sitting down quietly. They have physical gestures to do and words that need to be spoken out loud. The scholars asked if there would be a room that they could go to where they could privately do their thing without interrupting any of the other library patrons. The Vatican said yes, and provided them with a small space.
