Imagine if another club wanted Lamine Yamal and kept pushing media agendas about the saga, sending big fees and constant noise, do you think Barça would care? Do you think any of our officials would panic or start posting like Twitter trolls? Of course not.
Because we’re secure in the situation. We know he’s not leaving, we know he loves Barça, we know he’s on a long-term contract, and we know the club isn’t selling. There’s literally no reason to get rattled.
So if Atlético were also fully secure about Julián Álvarez staying, like they say, and truly believed he wouldn’t force a move, they wouldn’t react like this. This kind of panic only happens when there’s real doubt, when there’s a feeling of threat, and awareness that Barça can actually make it happen.
