💶 Ireland's 2025 Budget being announced tomorrow, on the 1st day of national breastfeeding week 🤱. 🤞 for ring-fenced funding for BF support. Last week, @HSELive reported ⬆️ prevalence of BF @ 3 months (👏 @LauraMcHugh12). It'd be great to build on that momentum! @BainneBeatha

Excellent new study 👇"The cases in our study highlight how, together with a weak breastfeeding counseling system, and health professionals who lack training in breastfeeding and normal infant behavior, lead to the opportunity for CMF marketing to shape infant feeding, and ultimately to the decision to feed formulas that some mothers were not planning to use and cannot afford."

@theirishfor Bhí mé ag smaoineamh go minic ar ‘suaimhneas’ le déanach. There was a craze for ‘hygge’ a few years ago, as a distinctly Scandinavian concept of cosy comfort, and it seems to me that suaimhneas - with connotations of rest, calm, & security - is an Irish analogue.
