Robert Golob, the autocratic Slovenian Prime Minister from the Renew group, is trying in Brussels to sabotage Sunday’s elections with fabricated claims of foreign interference after being caught in a corruption wiretapping scandal.

A strong Cyprus within a strong European Union. I greatly appreciate the consistent solidarity of @EPP with Cyprus. Today’s EPP statement: “We reiterate EU’s steady support to Cyprus, whose security is inseparable from EU security. We commend the deployment of assets by 5 member states to enhance security in the Eastern Mediterranean region.”

Developments in the Middle East underline the need for national and 🇪🇺 EU action to mitigate rising energy costs, stabilise markets, and prevent further inflation — while addressing the structural challenges holding back businesses, growth, and competitiveness. #EUCO

Our role is to protect the European citizens and businesses from soaring energy prices mainly due to the crisis in Iran. Europe’s strength must lie in its ability to stay resilient, and stand on its own, said EPP President @ManfredWeber in the margins of the party summit.

Geopolitical instability is no longer a distant threat, it’s a direct test of Europe’s security. We must strengthen Europe's defence by 2030 and turn EU solidarity in defence into real, concrete action—we need European drone and missile shields to safeguard our 🇪🇺 Member States.

Europe’s security is Ukraine’s security. 🇪🇺🇺🇦 We must provide sustained financial support to Kyiv and ensure strong, credible security guarantees. In these volatile times, Europe must remain united, resilient, and steadfast in defending peace and our shared values.

Today in Brussels, EPP leaders gathered for an enlarged summit to address Russia’s war against Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East. The escalation in Iran is already driving up energy prices and threatening our economic stability. We need to prevent another energy shock.
