Lupe is on my GOAT list, so I'm biased. But Drogas Wave deserves more recognition among the best rap double-albums. Not just because of limited skips, but approach: disc 1 is a powerful concept album, and disc 2 is just a dope collection of songs. Part of an amazing 10-year run

this “day n nite” debacle is silly. radio is important & hot 97 was/is the biggest rap station in the #1 market. the song had legs online, but jim’s remix was the version djs played on air.

@bdotTM I agree, this is silly. Jim added attention to the record but he didn’t make it hot. NY DJs aren’t the end all be all for records. HOT 97 isn’t the end all be all for records. This song is not even your typical rap record. A lot of pop stations got ahold of it as well.
