@EclassRacing @Justify3107 Exactly man. It’s the fortunate/unfortunate reality of the business. A breeder I really respect once told me he tries to avoid over doing it on freshman because he hated to look back 5-6 years down the line and see the mare never had a chance. It can be a double edged sword.

So happy to announce that we at E Class Racing @suitedfours @Justify3107 have purchased our first 2 year old colt, this speedy athletic looking @spendthriftfarm Bolt Doro ⚡️ 🐎 He is out of a Lookin At Lucky mare, which gives us the same Smart Strike influence that Bolt’s G1 winning brother Global Campaign had. He also hails from family 23B, which is the same family of Into Mischief, Beholder and Bolt’s G1 winning daughter in Tamara. The Bolt market is on the rise 📈 and it appears Bolt will also have his first Derby starter ever in G3 winning Incredibolt. Very fortunate that we can be part of the Bolt Experience ⚡️

It’s official! We are #Locked in and ready to rock! 🔒 🐎 E-Class Racing @suitedfours @Justify3107 is happy to announce that we just signed the contract to get our American Pharoah x Scat Daddy mare, Monetization, into the son of Gun Runner & multiple G1 winner Locked @Gainesway Our team put a lot of thought into this pairing and we feel it hits on all angles 🎯 Not only is American Pharoah off to an incredible start as a broodmare sire (one of the chief reasons we bought this mare), but his daughter Sefani already produced a G3 winner beneath a Candy Ride x AP Indy son in Game Winner. The Candy Ride x Empire Maker cross is also what G1 stallion Rock Your World is on and to an extent perennial leading sire Twirling Candy, whose broodmare sire is the 3/4 brother to Empire Maker. Scat Daddy has been crushing under Gun Runner as well, with G1 Brant, G2 Pappacap and recent 2.2 million dollar weanling standout colt that @DonatoLanni just purchased on behalf of @ZedanRacing showing us what a strong cross this is. In addition to Gun Runner’s success with Scat Daddy, Candy Ride’s son Game Winner also has a G1 winner with Gaming who is out of a Johannesburg x Mr Prospector mare (same cross as Scat Daddy). Game Winner in general served as an indicator of who may be best suited as he is on the Candy x AP Indy cross like Locked is. We feel blessed to have gotten Monetization as she just does not have an amazing broodmare’s pedigree but she is a big athletic mare, was a 245K yearling and hails from one of the greatest families in the game in Best In Show (Rags To Riches, Jazil, Arcangelo). In fact, her 3rd dam is a FULL to the great El Gran Senor, who is also the broodmare sire of the aforementioned Empire Maker to provide us with some tasty line-breeding. This family has produced a whopping 3 Belmont winners in just the last couple of decades and we are hopeful the end result will be a fast, athletic, harmonically sound bred baby that has stamina for days 🤞 Locked eventually got the nod for us over some other sires under evaluation as he had precocity and won a G1 at 2, he stretched that speed and won a 10F G1 at 4, had that beautiful Gun Runner x Malibu Moon harmony that champion Sierra Leone has and especially as he comes from a strong female family - Locked’s dam is sister to a multiple G1 winner and also another G2 winner. We also felt their physicals paired well together and our mare could compliment Locked in certain areas and he could compliment her in certain areas. A big shout out to Gainesway for being so easy to work with and supplying the public with such high quality stallions every year. 🙌 LFG!!!!!

Knightsbridge Too! Holy Moly is Knightsbridge looking insane lately 😱 I think eventually we will see so many Nyquist x Bernardini’s in the shed that the deciding factor will be what is happening beyond the first generation Nick, the 2/3/4 broodmare sires & female families. We are already seeing a similar phenomenon with Gun Runner x Indy. With our AP mare, we eventually landed on Locked over the others as he had precocity at 2, 10F ability, a stronger female family and was a freshman sire while Taiba was not. If you want the option to sell, for right or wrong, freshman sires are just the safer option. There are so may great value sires out there if u just want a runner for your own team, but if you are looking for max ROI on a yearling sale horse the way to go is freshman/big time proven sire.

Thank you brother, appreciate it 🙏 I am like the Rain Main of pedigrees - cant tell you what day of the month it is but can tell you the 4 generation crosses of a horse born in 1975 🤪 😂 Breeding is such a beautiful thing, never ending and always evolving too. It’s such a beautiful and worthwhile art form. 🎶 We are gonna get a lot more infor on Gun Runner sons this year and found out a lot at OBS. Cyberknife is throwing some big beautiful, Ling striding horses. And if you ask me Taiba is better than both we got this year and gave us more precocity, sprint to route ability and is throwing some great physicals too. Also, Sierra Leone is only like 1 of a dozen studs ever to get a perfect 9/9 score for the Bill Oppenheim stallion rating system 😱 Gun Runner and Bernardini are two others that were 9/9, so it is pretty accurate IMHO - definitely worth giving Sierra a shot if his price drops and you got the right mare. And obviously cant go wrong sending a Liam Map x Slew mare to Into Mischief variants either, especially something like Life Is Good who has no Unbridled but the DH/Indy built in. Arabian Lion/Justify a great way angle as well, love that I already hit on that…..LIG is really the Into Mischief version of Lion pedigree wise.

Btw - if you got Liam’s x Slew, I’d strongly consider going to Gun Runner/some Gun Runner son. That mare woukd BANG with Gun Runner. The Gun Runner x Liam’s x Slew cross is one of @Justify3107 absolute favorites. Woof! 🐶 Also, Nyquist/Mo could be divine as well. We know Nyquist loves slew and also Unbridled Song. Your girl = Best of both worlds.

@EclassRacing @suitedfours @Justify3107 Be hard to go wrong with them! We’re breeding our Liam’s Map mare to Bolt. And our MDO mare to Arabian Knight. Not sure how you feel about double dose of AP with AK but he feels hard to go wrong with. This Liam’s map mare just had a beast of an AK this year.

Love it! 🙌 Like how you doubled up on the Slew as well. And I like the double dose of Indy so long as it is disguised a bit. It seemed the Mo Donegals that went back to the direct AP Indy cross were a little slow, ploddy and not as athletic. But if it is say AK X MDO x Tapit (like I think your guy is), I love it! 🙌 AK x Bernardini prol a bit too aggressive and too much, but buried a little further back I think that is great 🙌 It is amazing how all the best Yaupons (Solitude Dude & Stradale) and fastest OBS March Mo Donegals (both are Mo x Slew like AK) were all on the Storm Cat cross - and that makes sense to me as we are balancing out the pedigree and tapping into that AK/Nysos type balanced breeding with the Mo x Indy x Storm Cat balance. I like some aggressive line breeding with certain sire groups but with Mo I like to see more balance and harmony 🎼🎵🎶🎶

This our 2nd Bolt BTW - first is this girl, tho she may be a broodmare 🤔 Check out her family tho 😱 Any ideas for stallions? Always felt Charlatan x Bolt could be fire, or possibly some Uncle Mo variant given his proclivity for MDO & AP Indy 🤔 I felt Golden Pal could be fire given how well New York Thunder (Nyquist x Midshipman x this family) did but wanna see how these Golden Pals perform and if they stretch a bit 🤔 Or even Mo Donegal/Kingsbarn as it introduces the Pulpit factor & we have Constitution on the page too 🤔

LFG!!!! So cool that Bolt x Smart Strike Nick is responsible for the sale topper Bolt at March 26 OBS and June 25 OBS too. Also love that we were able to get double dosing of Weekend Surprise without line breeding AP Indy. 🙌 Bolt is crushing too - out doing Good Magic and Justify in this current Derby bound crop. Incredibolt winning at 9F so emphatically did a lot for my Bolt confidence, really wanted to see him throw a Derby horse. He not only lifted his mares up but he is improving as his mares improve.

Thats the way it should be done IMO. Way too many people rush the bit tho the horse isnt ready for it. Vaqueros rode their young horses for years in a Bosal before switching over to a bit and they were some of the highest level horseman ever. Like so much in the horse world, we just do as we were taught without taking the time to think about why and if it is really what the horse needs. Respect 🫡

The resemblance to LIG was just obvious from day 1. Not only do they look similar but both just have that super rare next level brilliance. He even did something LIG never did in just his fist out - and that is to win without the lead and overcame severe adversity. Like I’ve been saying since before he debuted - my favorite 3 year old in training now and such an exciting colt

Good question. We never got to see Beau Liam mature and stretch out so it is anyone’s guess. Beau Liam was bred like Arrogate tho on the Unbridled Song x Forty Niner x Deputy Minister cross, and his Dam & Immediate family like Coffee In Bed/Sea Foam were 2 turn dirt milers-9F types. My guess is Beau woulda been a 7>9F type like his Dad and Unbridled Song. The interesting part of Crude is Beau Liam’s only 12F G2 winner is on the Lemon Drop Kid cross like Crude is. Crude also comes from the same 3-N female family as Authentic & legendary mare Pocahontas, known for passing on her large heart and freaky speed-carrying ability. My guess with Crude is one turn mile clearly won’t be a problem after what we saw last race. He can probably get up to 9F but anything beyond that would be suspect. Gonna have to wait and see tho, he is clearly a special colt with immense brilliance, has reminded me and @Justify3107 of Life Is Good since we first saw him work at OBS June.

Weekend Princes BMS = Congrats I’ve found when a sire tends to relish one variant of the AP Indy line, they seem to do well with most of the others….kinda like Nyquist who had ANOTHER stake winner on the Indy cross today. Honor Code a bit unique as most of these Indy sons (Bern, Flatter, Congrats, Malibu, Mineshaft) are on the Mr P cross while Honor Code is on that Storm Cat 🤔 Btw did I tell you the group I am with got a filly from Honor Code’s family? 👀 Her name is Raffy The Stakes. Was previously named Rafaelian owing to her likeness to Ruffian
