The assessment below could only be made by someone who doesn't know the very basics of the JCPOA, technically or diplomatically. It's impossible to make this precise mistake if you know functionally anything. Since the opening days of Trump 45 through right now, Trump has identified 4 core flaws with the JCPOA: sunsets on nuclear restrictions, no missile limits, no anytime anywhere inspections, and funding for malign actives via proxies. The list of demands Trump reportedly transmitted fixes all 4 of those. Team Obama broke how we talk about foreign policy, and Iran specifically, by elevating partisan writers who knew nothing and credentialing them as journalists and experts. We never came back from that.
Heath Mayo@HeathMayo

Trump is telegraphing how little he understands this chess match. Iran already agreed to this in the JCPOA. If all this gets us is the same agreement with a more radical leader, it’s a major strategic blunder. But Trump clearly naively thinks he’s done something new here.

I urge people to read this. It's a forensic look, by a Green party member, at what the "Zionism is Racism" motion being voted on by the Greens on Saturday really says, as well as the motivation of some of the individuals and groups most associated with it.

People accused Israel of genocide with the lie that 83% of the killed in Gaza were civilians while cheering the Iranian bombings of Israel in which 99% of the killed were civilians.

@ElliotMalin Hey, remember that time the UN Special Advisor on Genocide said it wasn’t a genocide and then she faced a months long deeply racist harassment campaign before being fired? Funny, they never bring that up! thefp.com/p/johanna-berk…

And now the comments to THIS post about the comments to the previous post, continue to prove the point over and over. 😆 Non-Jews continue to assume that their low information propaganda-only, bigoted, libel-based, bought and paid for understanding of Jews and Israel is more valid than that of Jews themselves. When people wonder how Nazi Germany happened, how an entire society of “good people” were all too eager to believe lies from media, academia, about Jews- it looked like this. This is how it happened.
Jonah Platt@JonahPlatt

The comments on this post tell you everything you need to know about the “progressive” movement. Jewish voices are talked over, Jewish trauma is invalidated, Jewish experience is not believed. Non-Jewish perception is right, Jewish truth about their own lives is wrong.

Israel is demanding that the UN Security Council unequivocally condemn Hezbollah and designate it a terrorist organization. If the UN can’t do the bare minimum against this Iranian proxy army, it can forget about asking Israel to trust “diplomacy.”

Israel didn't make Iran chant death to America. Israel didn't make Iran bomb the Marine barracks in Beirut. Israel didn't make Iran murder our soldiers in Iraq. Israel didn't make Iran accelerate toward nuclear armament. Iran has agency. They chose to be our enemy by their own free will. They chose to threaten us and murder our people. Stop making excuses for them.

Hussein Hammoud was part of the Iranian controlled and funded terrorist group Hezbollah. Hezbollah’s own media department announced his death. Hezbollah’s media department is NOT an independent journalistic entity. It functions as an arm of the terrorist organization, producing content that supports military and political goals e.g., filming operations, glorifying fighters, or shaping the information environment during conflict. Virtually all Western governments view such roles as part of Hezbollah’s overall terrorist infrastructure, similar to how Hamas embeds operatives in the media. There are no reports suggesting he was an independent or unaffiliated journalist. All tie him directly to Hezbollah. This dual-role pattern (journalist + terrorist affiliation) is common in reporting on Hezbollah and Hamas media workers killed in conflict.

Many conflicted people are rooting for the Islamic Republic to survive. Some, because they hate the US, Israel, and the West. Some, because they hate Trump and Netanyahu. Some, because they hate Reza Pahlavi more than they hate the regime. Some, because they get paid to promote the regime. Some, because they have business interests tied to the regime. Some, because they staked their careers on betting against regime change. Whatever the reason, they will loose their bets. The Islamic Republic will fall, because the Iranian people have the final say.

@CAMERAorgUK If the BBC or the UK government were serious about ensuring the independence of its media output, then it could take several steps to improve matters. The first step would be to remove complaints handling from the BBC. They should not be marking their own homework.

The BBC thinks that its uncritical amplification of MSF’s (Doctors Without Borders) ‘vehement denials’ concerning the employment of staff linked to terror groups is legitimate because one of those named in our complaint “was dead” when its article was published. This of course is the same BBC that purports to “tackle disinformation and misinformation through trusted news” and claims that its goal is “to ensure the complaints process works for the complainant and in the best interests of audiences.”.

The BBC rejected a complaint about its uncritical quotation of MSF's denial of employing terrorists on the basis that one of them was dead when the denial was made. camera-uk.org/2026/03/25/mor…
