3 reasons why p2p defi will gradually replace the existing pooled defi and 3 reasons why this is mega bullish for @ikadotxyz and @encrypt_xyz on @solana: 1. pools are a honeypot, and as we’ve seen in many hacks pooled assets open up attack vectors allowing funds to be drained and leading to socialized losses across many unrelated participants. p2p defi isn’t immune but it reduces the attack surface, contains the attack to affected users that engaged with the attacker, and in many cases dramatically increases the cost and length of the attack, therefore increasing the risk to the attacker. 2. p2p is more capital efficient than pools. instead of having user assets remain idle in pools with unpredictable outcomes, they only move as required and if it satisfies the user requirements. 3. the only hurdle for p2p defi - which is the cumbersome user experience of requiring the user to be online and interactive and make complex decisions in real time - is now being alleviated by ai agents, who can be online 24/7 and manage complex and fragmented user positions in real time to achieve a goal. and this is why @ikadotxyz and @encrypt_xyz on solana will be important infrastructure: 1. with dWallets, you are able - for the first time - to build a multichain p2p defi ecosystem, without relying on bridges, and with zero-trust guarantees. hold a native btc position on bitcoin, and borrow usdc against it on solana, atomically swap any native asset on any chain. managing multichain defi positions and strategies without relying on bridging is a huge unlock for defi, it removes liquidity fragmentation, and reduces the attack surface even further. 2. ai agents guardrails are a necessity because if agents are managing complex user positions, users can’t afford them making mistakes, hallucinating or being prompt injected. an agent can use an @ikadotxyz powered dWallet to perform any action on any chain, but it won’t have full signing authority, a @solana program will enforce a policy and refuse to sign anything that doesn’t meet the rules the user determined. 3. being able to do all of the above privately with @encrypt_xyz is how institutions can join the party en masse - confidential multi-chain defi positions, confidential policies for ai agents, all done in a composable way where different applications can directly talk to each other without revealing data. if you want to build the future of p2p defi on @solana, we are live on devnet. join @colosseum frontier that starts today, and check out the @ikadotxyz and @encrypt_xyz side track through @superteam
