Nobody talks about how brutal web3 game dev actually is. The hardest economy to design, unique arts, users who don't want to spend, almost no VC funding and right now it's the sector with the least interest in the space. Genuine respect to every team still building shit.

Tbh, this guide does a better job explaining the fundamentals than Kintara itself. I'm in a Discord with a bunch of veteran Web2 browser game developers, and we were all scratching our heads trying to understand how the game reached 2K CCU based on its fundamentals. We figured there had to be some X factor we were missing. Another thing we couldn't quite explain is the server queue. With modern cloud infrastructure, spinning up new game servers on demand is relatively trivial, so we wondered if the queue is an intentional design choice rather than a technical limitation. If so, it's actually a pretty clever marketing tactic. Either way, if the CCU numbers they're reporting are real, it could be the start of a genuinely exciting market and a very bullish sign for crypto gaming. If they aren't, it'll eventually collapse under its own weight. Personally, I'm hoping it's the former. Kintara has already convinced a lot of us from the Web2 game industry to seriously look at building on Solana.

Shitcoins are such a dogshit experience. Putting aside losing money, which every gambler does (statistically only 1-5% are profitable), there’s nothing engaging about it & not even a fair bet, odds stacked way against you. My bet is other forms of dopaminergic gambling will emerge to almost entirely replace shitcoining for 5 sec attention span degens. I tried this so you don't have to. I know this is going to absolutely shock you but no this does not match the performance of Mythos. A few early thoughts: 1. The limits are pretty bad. I used 100% of my 5-hour usage in less than 1 prompt. 2. I specifically gave it a threejs task because it is an area that SOTA models have made big strides in, that other models just are not great at. I asked it to build a replica of Rocket League. I'll put the prompt in the comments. The game was pretty bad and notably worse than GPT 5.5. Even after multiple fixes, it took 7-8 back and forth with Codex just to get it an almost playable condition. Prior to these fixes, the game was not playable. Maybe it's really strong in other disciplines. I'd love to test that but I hit my limit in 1 prompt lol. GPT 5.5 by contrast did a pretty good job and required no follow ups. Fable would have absolutely nailed this as well. But yeah, early impressions...not great. But I hope I'm wrong. More testing tomorrow.

A colleague asked me why his tweets get 0 likes. It’s very simple: You either have motion or you don’t. Solana has it. World has it. I have it. If you do not have motion, sadly it cannot be acquired by any known technique. Motion is in the DNA, it’s coded. You are more or less born into it. It cannot be bestowed or transferred. It is more a state of being than an action. If you have motion, you must do everything in your power to protect it. To treasure it. Because you can lose it overnight and never get it back.
