Antisemitic violence in America reached historic levels in 2025, with physical assaults rising 4% and deadly weapon attacks surging 39% - from 23 incidents in 2024 to 32 in 2025, according to the Anti-Defamation League's annual report released Wednesday. Three Jews were murdered in antisemitic attacks during the year, the first such fatalities since 2022. At least 300 individuals were victims of assault. The fatal attacks were the May 21 shooting of Israeli diplomats Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgram outside Washington, D.C.’s Capital Jewish Museum, and the June 1 firebombing at a hostage solidarity event in Boulder, Colorado, which murdered 82-year-old Karen Diamond. While overall antisemitic incidents declined 33% to 6,274 cases, an average of 17 per day, the sharp rise in violence underscores a dramatically shifted threat landscape in which historically high levels of antisemitism put Jewish lives at increasingly deadly risk.
