I was thinking about this painting the entire time I was at Mass yesterday.

I just went through a 1962 Holy Week, and compared the changes of each day to a pre’55 Holy Week. Apart from the obvious Good Friday change, I think the movement of Holy Saturday to the evening was a good choice. I could take or leave the renewal of baptismal vows. Also reading all 12 prophecies would take hours. Not that I would complain but I think the 4 that are chanted in ‘62 are quality.

Am I the only one who doesn’t give a crap about the ‘55 Holy Week changes?
