The #Horror365Challenge will be my pinned post for the year. I started off New Year's Day by watching "Beezel" (2024) dir. Aaron Fradkin. I didn't like this one as much as I anticipated, and would have preferred a few more scenes with the Witch. There were a few good scares!

@noneyrbusines8 @stillmoore @drrdemon Meanwhile, you actually have people advocating for "Conscience laws" and "right to refuse" in order to openly refuse care to people based on political stances. Are you also condemning those? One example: Tennessee Medical Ethics Defense Act (SB 955/HB 1044)

@stillmoore @drrdemon I know the tweet doesn’t advocate refusing care, but the point isn’t literal. In medicine, ethical scrutiny isn’t just about words, it’s about perception. Even a medical malpractice attorney could use a statement like this to bias a jury.

@noneyrbusines8 @drrdemon She can choose where to spend her money and donate her time. It's 100% ethical to choose not to financially support an organization or business that invests in people that actively seek to harm. This is separate from providing medical care.

These people are genuinely criminally stupid. Sprite serves a purpose in the hospital. Are you going to call juice "unhealthy" because of the sugar content? Many of my patients take their pills with pudding as a carrier, you gonna ban pudding? Fuck OFF.
