And then we wonder why audiences blur the line between heroism and harm. If cinema knows that the Indian audience idolize its stars, then this isn’t ignorance, it’s a conscious choice to sell negativity because it’s profitable Maybe the real question isn’t why is this being made? but why is accountability missing? Entertainment shouldn’t come at the cost of normalizing damage. Get your facts right. In 1948, the students of Dacca university protested in Jinnah's face, that Urdu would not be imposed on them, thus laying the ground for Bangladesh's emergence in 1971. Thus Bengalis on either side of the border speak Bangla. What remains to be seen is whether West Bengal rejects Hindi, in the same manner as Bangladesh rejected Urdu. BTW Hindi and Urdu may be the same language, with different scripts and dictionaries.
