A lady recounted how she was har@ssed by a keke rider on her way to the gym in Anambra State. She said she later reported the case at a police station, where she was asked to pay ₦200,000 for officers to track and apprehend the man, but she only had ₦50,000. According to her, the man, who parked his keke along the road, tried to talk to her and held her hand. She initially thought he was someone she knew, but they began to struggle. She said she poured water on him, which made him angry and he almost be@t her before a passerby intervened. She added that she had previously been r0bb£d on that same road, which made her more fearful and unsure of the man’s intention. She said hours later, she went to a police station in Awka, Anambra State, to report the incident. After writing her statement, she was asked to pay ₦3,000 for the report and ₦10,000 for a file, which she paid. However, she claimed the officers later told her they would consult a “mobilization” team, who then demanded ₦200,000 to pursue the case, without giving any assurance that the suspect would be caught.
