@teslaeurope having major issues with FSD roll-out in Denmark tonight 😥🇩🇰
Philip Engberg@philipengberg
@ThaChris2 @teslaeurope Exactly the same here. Also for a friend of mine 😭

If you’re in an EU country where FSD is approved but haven’t received the software update, this is likely the reason😊

@rschoors @Tesla Zal gefaseerd, in “waves” worden uitgerold, eerst paar tientallen wagens, vervolgens korte evaluatie, dan 5000 wagens, idem dito, dan rest. Gelijkaardige aanpak als in Nederland.

Does FSD actually work when you cross into a country it’s approved in? Short answer: yes.
Long answer: it cost me a night of sleep, a bucket of fish soup, and possibly my will to live. Read and wheep 👇🏼
Left Amsterdam yesterday at 13:00. Drove up through Germany, picked up a buddy along the way, livestreamed crossing the border into Denmark together. Dropped him off, then kept going to test FSD in a couple of small Danish towns. Did three livestreams from the road.
The actual driving? Most anticlimactic thing ever. FSD just worked. New country, same Tesla, same calm confidence. Crossed an international border and the car didn’t care. That’s the whole point, and also the most boring part of this story. But we had tons of fun.
Then the chaos started.
Was supposed to crash at someone’s place, they said the door would be open. Get there, locked. Call them, 6 times. Nothing. Call the wife. Nothing. Didn’t want to ring the bell because they’ve got a small baby and I wasn’t about to be that guy.
Fine. I’m in Timmendorfer Strand, basically the German Zandvoort, touristy as hell.
Found a hotel, booked it on the spot. The Cozy Hotel. Late checkout, breakfast looked great, I’m thrilled. Drive over feeling like I just won the day.
Ring the night bell. Lady opens up and asks if my key doesn’t work.
My key? I don’t have a key. I made the reservation 20 minutes ago.
“No.”
“Yes.”
“No.”
I show her the booking confirmation.
“No, there’s nothing in our system.”
“You haven’t even checked yet.”
“No. We don’t have any rooms.”
At this point I’m standing there at midnight wondering what I did to deserve this. She actually suggests I sleep in my car. Which, sure, would’ve been fine, except my @snuuzu mattress wasn’t with me.
She felt bad though. Gave me food. Insisted on it.
The food was fish soup. In a literal mayonnaise bucket. No lid, just plastic wrap over the top.
If there’s one food on this planet that makes me physically gag, it’s mushrooms. And fish soup.
Drove off, found the first trash can, said goodbye to the soup.
I thought fuck it. Screw you guys, I’m going home!
Drove all the way back to Amsterdam. No FSD this time, just me and my rage. Got home at 08:30. Straight to bed. Slept 10 hours.
So yeah, FSD crossing into a country where it’s approved? Works flawlessly. Hotels in Timmendorf finding your reservation? Apparently still beta.
That’s proper dedication. Most people wouldn’t do this.
I would, apparently, do it twice if it meant proving a point about FSD.
@teslaeurope
Stopped at the shadiest and ugliest SuC ever, nothing but wins on the way back home.

My girlfriend is about to have her very first FSD ride after a mandatory tutorial and quiz 👌 @teslaeurope

@Arpe_DK @Helmer_PH Nah its probably a glare on the right arrow traffic light so it thought its green

Todays drive to work, FSD did really well on most of the drive.
Very smooth on the highway.
I had to intervene once, when it was about to go into an intersection at a red light.

@Adder0 sorry but I don’t understand your comment or what you’re trying to debate here

@FSDEurope Same as not everyone driving a car with high crash safety.
Only a few want to drive Tesla for several reasons, next step pay 100€ for a steering aid. When you pay 1000+€/m first three years.
