"How Do You Know if You Have Trauma?"
The word "trauma" is thrown around a lot, but what actually IS trauma? How can you know if you've been traumatized.
Watch this classic Mended Light video for my two cents: youtube.com/watch?v=7KC6Cx…
How would you answer this question?

"S&!t Therapists Say: Are Anti-Depressants the Easy Way Out?"
In this classic Mended Light video I go toe-to-toe with crap therapists who are overly-critical of mental health meds.
When are meds a good idea? When should you try something else?

What's your take on this?

The JAWS exhibit at the Academy Museum yesterday. My inner child was in heaven. Those who knew me as a boy will tell you that I was obsessed with this film and, by extension, sharks. I read every book I could find on the subject.
Last year, for the film's 50th anniversary, Karlie and I saw it in IMAX. It was her first time and she became an instant fan.
I can't tell you how much joy it gave me to finally meet Bruce.

10/10 recommend The Getty Center in Los Angeles. Stunning architecture, gorgeous gardens, phenomenal views of the city, and perhaps the most impressive private collection of fine art in this hemisphere.
Oh, and admission is free.
The late J. Paul Getty was at one point the wealthiest man in America. He used his wealth to acquire some of the world's greatest works of work.
Yesterday we enjoyed the works of Van Gogh, Monet, Cezanne, Degas, Manet and more. Also parlor rooms and art halls that are the closest thing you can get to being in Versailles or the Louvre on this side of the world. Not to mention many impressive works by modern artists.
Karlie and I had a marvelous day. The Hollywood honeymoon continues!

Last week the Department of Defense caused a major kerfuffle by drastically cutting back the list of religions it recognizes in the United States and by leaving Latter-day Saints out of the "Christian" category.
I've only got one thing to say.
Who cares?
No state department or federal agency gets to determine what my theology means to me. It's like a vegetarian judging a barbeque.
Also, we Latter-day Saints need a thicker skin about this. Other Christians are protective of the beliefs they hold sacred and don't want to claim those whose beliefs and practices don't line up. We do the exact same thing when we jump to clarify that the FLDS are not the same as the mainstream church and we don't claim them as part of our group.
I just think of Mr. Incredible pointing at Incrediboy, emphatically clarifying "You're not affiliated with me."
It all comes out with the wash. What matters is HOW we believe.
Look at the tweet image I've selected to go with this post. It's one of my favorites.
Jesus made it very clear. "By this shall all men know if ye are my disciples: if ye have love, one to another." (John 13:35)
If I am a Christian, if I truly am a disciple of Christ, then my actions will show it. Integrity and empathy.
I think a lot of people are making "being right" more important than "doing right." It's not.
"“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only they who do the will of my Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 7:21)
The Department of Defense and people of other denominations, can say what they like. I know who I am and I know who I serve.

I disagree. We've listened to our fans' concerns and have taken them seriously. That's why we stopped working with BH. That's why we only resumed with them after I did nearly a year's worth of research. We do not delete any comments on our channel except those that are disrespectful to us or others. We leave up the BH comments and address them directly. Here is my research and what I found. reddit.com/r/cinema_thera…

@AskFareeha @lolkat Cinema Therapy has been advertising for years and they don't listen to fans/comments about it. They have deleted people's comments about it. At one point they did address it, and they said had looked into it and it was fine. 🙄
