@DreamsOfTaos @jga41agher I’m just telling the truth. There is no market for George Gervin anymore and that’s what a trademark is based on, period. He could’ve trademarked it 50 years ago and didn’t. Now nobody cares about him outside of a few NBA diehards.

You guys can all go paint a pretty picture of George Gervin’s career and call me an NBA casual… I am. 😉 I don’t apologize for not knowing about a player whose prime was in the 70s when I was born in the early 80s and I didn’t start watching the NBA until like 1988. A sport I played one season recreationally. The point stands. If Caleb Williams and his team win the trademark…then too bad for bad business on Gervin’s team. Glad he was a great player.
