My wife Amy was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and starts chemo therapy tomorrow afternoon. We have felt really encouraged by our community and feel God’s presence through it all. Pray for strength for her and she starts this journey. We believe she will have complete healing, but it will be a long road. I’m thankful for all that have reached out in support of her. Please pray for her + my boys and I through this process

@Marsman__Melvin @haylow77 then you just aren't watching. luka isn't having an off year at all. this is one of his best yrs ever. he's 1st in pts, 3rd in assists, leads in rebounds among guards, top 10 in steals... team is 3rd seed. one of his best years ever.

@jga41agher @haylow77 Imma watch tonight’s game in the morning. I think Luka is an alltime great but he’s had an off year and is finally stepping it up. That shouldn’t be rewarded imo. At 45 I’ve had a lifetime of the media and league bias for LA, call me jaded I guess. Still think Denver sweeps them.

did perkins hack your phone. they just beat denver, houstons 2X, clippers, minnesota in like 10 days. he's taken multiple teams to conf finals and nba finals. you're sliding hard into 'hating' territory. i think it's sga, luka then jokic/wemby nobody had LA this good. nobody. and through all the injuries, they're 3rd in the west. ALSO when wemby sat out... san antonio kept weinning. all i ask is remove the bias and watch the games. he's been THE reason LA is top 3 in the superior conference.

@jga41agher @haylow77 Is he deserving of first team? Obviously SGA is in. I wouldn’t take Brown just cause I don’t like him but I can’t in good faith take Luka over Ant. I love anything that resembles Manu, which is Luka, but knowing Laker tax is a thing with free throws and whistle it’s forced on us.

@kyleb77 do i think the team as a whole is a contender? tbd. do i feel luka has been one of the 3 most valuable players in the nba this season... easy yes. it's a team sport. but if we're doing individual awards let's look at the individual impact.

@jga41agher @MeFanGirlOutlet As good as SGA has been, I’d argue he shouldn’t win it for the same reason Steph/KD were excluded in 2017-18, his team is still extremely good without him. Beating teams like Cleveland without him, J-dub, and Chet. OKC doing what is expected, Lakers overachieving.

Top 3rd? He literally SHOULD be THE MVP by literally ALL definitions of the award. There's no other way of putting it.

"I have Cade bc they have the best record in the Eastern Conference. And I have Wemby, they're 2nd in the West." For whatever reason, team record has never mattered more to individual awards than it does right now. This is nothing against Cade or Wemby but please god... argue the merits of the individual AS WELL AS the team record. That's what we used to do. But boiling everything down to team record makes individual awards a stupid exercise. And yes... it's Perkins. But he has a vote and he has influence and with these votes being public, you can absolutely see the trends of voters flocking with the majority out of fear of standing out.
